  1. I agree. Although I did quite like the London/Sochi huge white block capitals and sloped flags a bit too.
  2. The animation is fine but the music barely registers with me; like it's almost not there at all, unlike the past few intros.
  3. Have we seen the OBS on screen graphics package yet?
  4. Not much of a fan of the Beijing one? That stands out to me as one of if not the most memorable (Assuming we're talking Summer 08 not Winter 22 here)
  5. They don't do irony in Europe clearly.
  6. The 4x400's are starting to get on my nerves a bit. I know this and the world relays etc. haven't featured the strongest teams by any stretch of the imagination but still I'd like some indication that when the big one arrives we know who the strongest team possible is for all 3 races and that they'll commit to sending the best combinations out even if it means more races for certain individuals. Or if that's not possible, that they're prioritising either the mixed or a single gender relay to maximise medal chances in that one event because at the moment it feels like they're drawing our 400 runners out a hat to pick the teams. We're not the US who can send anyone out and still be in the mix.
  7. I was commenting on the use of the word penality which I thought was unusual but fair enough 😂
  8. You don't want to be in the Penality Zone
  9. Is only a repeat available on the website rather than live coverage?
  10. Very interesting set of teams qualifying for this tournament.
  11. No, deadly serious. I myself even add some trimetazidine to my cooking on occasion; really gives a kick to Chinese cuisine. If only WADA were as serious as I am.
  12. Why? One of the chefs at the hotel restaurant the swimmers were staying at merely introduced traceable quantities of heart medication into their cooking accidently. It's easily done.
  13. Isn't this just going to be another one of those disaster stories that appear in the build up to every Olympics; where there's some catastrophic issue plaguing the Games but then it's actually fine when it happens? I remember about a month out from Vancouver 2010 there were reports there's no snow at all in Whistler. I sure hope it is because how can you do triathlon without the swimming?; It's not a triathlon otherwise. Might as well say we're skipping the first 500m of the 1500m, or replacing the riding in modern pentathlon with a saturday night game show obstacle course.
  14. The 203rd IOC Session recently concluded on Mars with incumbent President Thomas Bach in his reanimated form secured inside a robotic shell confirming the rumours that trapeze chess and upside down cheese rolling would be on the program for the upcoming 2100 Games in Pyongyang, replacing the long troubled sports of swimming and athletics. The 1976 Olympic Champion in Fencing stated "by expressing solidarity, integrity, solidarity, hope and more solidarity with these innovative urban sports we can bring our movement into the 22nd century, and attract the audience of 3 year olds the Olympic movement needs to stay relevant in the modern age. The best unicycle handball players will be on display to inspire all of humanity in North Korea".
  15. The Gabon flag (between Kenya and Gambia) is wrong
  16. That rounds up a fantastic showing for GB, I recant any doubts I had up to the first few days of the games. If 22 golds and 65 medals is a 'worse' Olympics then British sport is in superb shape.
  17. Well I thought a Kenny would win today...
  18. I'm sure World Athletics would be more than happy to award one of Bhutan's archers a 100m quota in future.
  19. In shock with the tennis. They looked to be cruising through and the wheels just came off from the eighth game of the second set onward. A shame as it looked like they might have been quietly building something.
  20. Great performance from the quad sculls but almost couldn't have written a worse outcome for this rowing session
  21. When is it time to start worrying? Is it now?
  22. Is this... some good news? I'm not sure what that feels like anymore
