Without trying to be too pessimistic it could be impossible, even considering the sprint distance. The presence of Lombardi as a second French athlete right up there is a killer. It's a shame given how strong we are, but huge medal favourites still of course.

I hadn't even considered that we'd even be in a battle with France on the table anyway. Hosts should always comfortably be in that 3rd spot (assuming its not a major nation like Brazil)

Went exactly as I feared in the end, and in hindsight probably the only winner there was ever going to be, but another medal!
