France The French jury decided to choose a song from Slimane, who won the 5th season of The Voice France in 2016. The song is called "J'en suis là" ("I'm here", or "this is where I am"), it's about the loss of someone you love (oh no it's emotional ) and is part of his second album. Lyrics and translation below:

Tu as très bien résumé et analysé la situation... Et même en ne prenant pas les résultats de la France en compte, ces JO n'étaient pas inoubliables tant au niveau de l'ambiance, que des performances et de la météo (saleté de vent), et les horaires (et encore 2 JO comme ça en plus, youpi :lol:) Heureusement qu'on a le biathlon et Martin Fourcade quand même, sinon on serait vraiment encore plus pathétiques ! Je n'étais qu'un petit bébé à Atlanta Dommage que j'aie raté probablement nos meilleurs Jeux. Enfin bon je vais vivre ceux de Paris si tout va bien donc ça devrait compenser

So, record of gold medals for France (only one more than the last record), but as much medals in total as in Sochi, which was already the record. Kind of disappointing. But "only" five 4 places

Ah donc en fait on est juste des vieux grincheux qui voient le verre à moitié vide Ah tiens je pensais qu'on avait eu 5 médailles en biathlon à Vancouver, j'avais oublié la médaille de bronze de Vincent Jay sur la poursuite.

Ah d'accord ^^ Ben c'est notre problème ça, on fait fort en championnats du monde (et je ne parle pas que du biathlon mais des sports en général), et puis aux JO les résultats sont différents. On se retrouve dans la même situation qu'aux Jeux de Rio, on attendait beaucoup (notamment grâce aux résultats en championnats du monde) et on repart avec beaucoup de déceptions...

C'est sûr que quand on voit les résultats de la saison passée (surtout chez les filles) et des mondiaux 2016 c'est un ton en-dessous. Le bilan remarquable dont ils parlent c'est pour l'ensemble des résultats français ? Mouais, on a eu pas mal de déceptions quand même, on fait à peine mieux qu'à Sochi. Les 18 médailles étaient faisables pourtant.

Le biathlon décevant? C'est mieux qu'à Sochi pourtant, 4 médailles dont 2 en or, là 5 médailles dont 3 en or (et elles sont plus variées qu'à Sochi, où Martin en avait ramené 3 sur les 4). Alors certes il est passé tout près de 2 médailles d'or, et on aurait pu espérer une médaille en relais hommes, mais je ne trouve pas que les résultats en biathlon soient décevants. Ou alors tu penses aux résultats des filles en individuel...
