  1. That's unfortunate for Canada, that's the type of match we had to win if we wanted to reach the top 12. Looks like we will be on the outside looking in when this is over. We would probably need to beat Italy, Netherlands and Croatia and maybe take a set from Brazil to have a chance...
  2. One step closer to the merger of the two confederations...
  3. Finally, . They were sticking out as an unqualified nation. The next "big" unqualified nations are Uzbekistan and Finland.
  4. There's not much depth in equestrian outside Group A/B. I think it's nice that equestrian gives Eastern Europe a chance, it's similar to Asia in table tennis.

  6. It's regardless of continent so I don't see why not.
  7. There's about a week between events so she has time to travel , but yes surfing is more of a hobby for her instead of seriously competing
  8. Almost all of the quotas are awarded by name so she would have to compete at the 2024 Games. She's only competed in one event back during the 2021-22 season. Here's her profile.
  9. It goes to the highest ranked athlete in this event not yet qualified
  10. I completely forgot about 2020. Trying to remember historic results when the most recent was all I needed .
  11. Huge opportunity for China. I think this is their first time competing in team eventing. Even back in 2008 they only competed with an individual.
  12. Not a good XCO from Japan. They are still within striking distance to get the quota from China. China is more or less down to 3 effective riders so they can't make too many mistakes.
  13. is likely to qualify normally through the men's rankings so next in line for the quota will be
  14. sweeps the women's race and has obtained the Olympics quota. They are currently outside of qualifying through the world rankings, but should they succeed, the next nation in line is .

  16. Here are the tripartite eligible nations competing (assuming the rules for eligibility remain the same) Men - Women -
  17. Hopefully, Canada can outdo its performance from last season. If we can move into the top 12 Olympic qualification becomes quite possible. Hoping to go at least 2-2 this week.
  18. As a reminder, the continental quotas will only be awarded if the athlete finishes in the top 30. If they do not it will go to the highest ranked eligible athlete regardless of continent. To be eligible for the universality quota eligible athletes must finish in the top 50 at the 2023 or 2024 games.
  19. Congrats to Latvia, nice to see non-powerhouse teams win medals. Who would have guessed that 2/3 medals would go that way?
  20. Congrats. The score definitely puts them in contention for Olympic qualification
  21. Latvia is going all the way, nothing is going to stop them.
  22. So is Latvia going to win the entire tournament so Slovakia drops to 10th place?
  23. Definitely a person to watch. Any chance he can sneak in the 2024 Olympics? Even as a relay swimmer?
  24. This is the first sign North Korea will take part at the Olympics. Until now, I don't think they have participated in any international event (even if they are just showing up for a weigh-in).
