    Likewise. Realistically a top 6 would have been a satisfying result. I think Dubreuil skated as well as he could have.

    I expect it too, since Braathen showed that it is possible and that there are upsides in terms of marketability.

    It's really good since there is a big gap between 3rd and 4th. Not that the Americans can be taken for granted, but and are likely going to need to go all out in order to beat each other, and the final is on the same session as the semi so fatigue can be a factor (we saw that in 2022 with both the men's and women's pursuit, though in the case of the women's pursuit it didn't end up mattering since a Japanese skater fell)

    So important to have the easier semi-final when there is a big gap between the third and fourth best team, since the semi and the final are on the same day.

    The main thing I’ll be stressed about tomorrow is the women’s 3000m relay semi finals. I have tickets for the final so I’ll obviously be quite sad if doesn’t make the A final (or worse, is penalized and doesn’t even make the B final)

    I'm far from perfect but for the most part my skeletons are funnier than they are problematic - just stuff I prefer to not share on International television :P I also don't have an SO to cheat on (...anymore, since I am a divorcé and single-ish xD )

    Oh shit we have an actual chance to win a gold medal tomorrow. It was kind of relaxing to have an Olympic day where I was pleasantly surprised and very satisfied by a fifth place (Gogolev) and a ninth place (Stephen).

    Yup, Tardi is great. Him and Gallant are the only reasons I’ll actually be happy if this team wins gold. And it takes a lot for me to not root for the Canadians.

    Based on how people have been skating it kinda feels like nobody deserves to win the women’s TP xD (so I guess it means it will be an entertaining scrap for gold)

    No. In luge starting order matters less.

    To me this result would be comparable to winning gold in men's hockey.

    ya know, with the results in the men's singles and the ice dance I'm actually retrospectively pretty happy the won the team event (esp. if Sakamoto ends up winning the women's singles).

    It's gonna get lost a bit in the media but the cross country team has been performing so well all Olympics long. For me that's actually been the team of the games for Canada so far.
