  1. Eddie Dawkins (Cycling)- 3 time world champion & Olympic silver medalist Mathias Boe (Badminton)- Olympic silver medalist, multiple world championship medals
  2. You can buy it on amazon. It is quite expensive though ($65).
  3. It is a good game. Yes there is online, but I always have trouble finding matches with other players. I’m sure I will find more online matches when the game gets released worldwide. It has a good balance of single player & online modes. There are two modes for online (ranked games & groups). Ranked games is where you play one event against other players. For example the 100m can have up to 8 players for online. For Beach Volleyball you are playing against one other player. You can also play with your friends or with other players in a group format (up to 4 players). You can pick the events you want to do & those events will be contested between/with the players in your group. For single player/offline there is a practice mode where you just practice the events. You can also play an offline Olympic Games. You compete against the computer in an event of your choosing. For example, in the 100m you do a qualifier, then if you get top 3 you advance to the semifinal than final. The level of difficulty gets higher as you advance. So far I have won gold in BMX & silver in beach volleyball.
  4. I have it on ps4. It was released in Japan last fall I believe. I bought it on amazon from someone in Japan. Don’t know when the official release date for the game is.
  5. I think it would be fun to play the Tokyo 2020 video game (not Mario and sonic) with other users. If we end up playing the game I am happy to participate because I already have it.
  6. https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1093336/nba-dinwiddie-nigeria-tokyo-2020 It looks like Brooklyn Nets player Spencer Dinwiddie will play for Nigeria.
  7. swimmer Pieter Timmers has announced that he will retire at the end of 2020 and not pursue the 2021 tokyo games. He won a silver medal in the men’s 100m freestyle at the 2016 rio Olympics.
  8. Think about the athletes though... they work hard for 4 years for their moment in the spotlight. It would suck if you’re an athlete and your team boycotts the games.
  9. I wouldn’t be shocked if they did it on purpose, but I am praying that it wasn’t on purpose. IF it was on purpose and you were the head of the usopc, would you boycott Beijing?
  10. Here is something I just thought of: If the virus originated from a Chinese lab & the Chinese government covered it up, do you guys think we will see a boycott from USA & other countries at Beijing 2022? What do you guys think.
  11. Yes Oakland U is in Michigan. About 15 minutes from where I live. As much as I would want to go to school in California, it is too damn expensive. Anyway, I am heading off to bed, good night and stay safe!
  12. Well good luck. Your classes are done on May 29th? Is that late or normal for Cali. Michigan unis get out at the end of April. I am am going to start applying this summer to Michigan State, Central Michigan & Oakland University. Maybe more, but I am pretty sure I will get in to one of those schools.
  13. Also I would stay up if it was the actual Olympics and not a replay.
  14. For the rest of the year grades are based on participation & completing the assignments that teachers give out. The students have to stay up to date using zoom, email, etc. Each teacher has office hours (through zoom) once a week if students have questions. We turn in assignments through a platform called schoology (not sure if you are familiar with it or not). We don’t know how exams will work though. How long are you out of school for?
  15. That’s not on until 1 am here on the east coast I will definitely record it and watch tomorrow.
  16. Return to rio is on NBC sports network rn if any of my American friends are interested. Women’s team gymnastics final is on now, with women’s all around on later tonight. Also, Women’s road race and time trial tonight.
  17. For my American friends: https://olympics.nbcsports.com/2020/04/09/nbcsn-olympics-tv-schedule/ Sounds like NBC will be showing Olympic replays starting this Monday in prime time.
  18. @rafalgorka I am not a tennis expert, but from what I remember Marin Cilic is a decent player. Also, the Kyrgious v medvedev match would be interesting to watch.
  19. Parade of nations is the best part of the ceremony. I fall asleep during the other parts except for the lighting of the torch.
  20. @batbobiI love these recaps you do! Since you are the wrestling expert around here, why is Goldberg still in wwe? His matches are terrible. They are very quick. Never understood why they have a water downed legend like Goldberg competing for the universal title, when they have plenty of younger talent waiting for their opportunity, but getting screwed by Vince McMahon. Who do you think puts on better shows: wwe or aew?
  21. @Olympian1010 will you still be in Tokyo for the games next year?
  22. Just remembered pretty much all of London 2012 is on Youtube. Finally figured out what to do with all this free time.
  23. He is probably good enough for 2020, but Sky Brown should be better off with the games in 2021.
  24. The Olympics will not happen without GB, Norway, Canada, Australia, etc. It is pretty much a foregone conclusion that the games won’t happen until 2021.
