  1. What is everyone looking forward to on day 5? I would be watching 3x3 Basketball finals, Baseball prelims, Cycling time trial, rowing finals, men’s team Sabre fencing, rugby finals, swimming finals, surfing finals & some table tennis and weightlifting as well. Very stacked day from my point of view.
  2. June 2021: 4 matches September 2021: 2 matches October 2021: 2 matches November 2021: 2 matches January 2022: 2 matches March 2022: 2 matches June 2022: Inter confederation playoff
  3. What is everyone looking forward to on day 4? For me: Women’s team gymnastics final, softball final, women’s triathlon & swimming finals
  4. No, the minor league players are not actively playing/practicing with their teams. I have a feeling that they would rather suspend the season than have Marlins minor league players play.
  5. 4 days in & 14 players on one team test positive
  6. Michael Thompson wins the 3M open (2nd win on tour). Great win, but not a very stacked field this weekend.
  7. What events was everyone looking forward to on day 3? I was looking forward to men’s team archery, cycling mountain bike, swimming finals, table tennis mixed doubles finals & triathlon.
  8. Archery women’s team, Women’s Cycling road race, debuts of skateboarding & surfing, and swimming finals
  9. Rio was perfect for me. They were only a 1 hour difference. Events started at 8 am & ended at 11 pm. Literally the dream scenario
  10. 2am is not bad compared to events starting at 8 pm, going through the night and ending at 9 am in the morning here in the USA
  11. What events was everyone looking forward to the most on day1? I was excited for the debut of 3x3 Basketball, Mixed Team Archery & Men’s Road Race the most.
  12. I am happy because the Hazers won gold, but mad because the Minty Maniacs continue to drop down in the standings. The triathlon might be the best event yet. The race can change quickly, especially in the transitions like we saw in the final.
  13. Not a fan of this. It just waters down the playoffs because average teams get rewarded by making the playoffs.
  14. Right now: Men’s PGA Tour 3M Open Tonight: MLB baseball Yankees vs Nationals & Giants vs Dodgers
  15. You can start with an MLB overload today!!
  16. I think the Olympics will only take place if they develop a vaccine for COVID. I don’t know the timetable for that though
  17. Here are my predictions: AL EAST Yankees Rays Red Sox Blue Jays Orioles AL CENTRAL Indians Twins White Sox Royals Tigers AL WEST Astros Athletics Rangers Angels Mariners NL EAST Braves Nationals Mets Phillies Marlins NL CENTRAL Cardinals Brewers Cubs Reds Pirates NL WEST Dodgers Padres Diamondbacks Giants Rockies ALCS: Yankees def Astros NLCS: Dodgers def Braves World Series: Dodgers def Yankees
  18. Season starts on Thursday with Yankees vs Nationals & Giants vs Dodgers
  19. Softball would be starting tomorrow night
  20. Jon Rahm crushes the field & wins the Memorial Tournament by 3 strokes. It would have been by 5, but Rahm was given a 2 stroke penalty for slightly moving his ball with the club (unintentionally) before a chip-in. Rahm moves to #1 in the world after the win. Interesting stat: only 9 players finished the tournament below par. Also, there was only 1 American in the top 7.
  21. That incredible chip-in pretty much sealed the win for him.
  22. Disappointing performances by my teams. Minty Maniacs get 14th and the Hazers place last. Still plenty of events to go. The only good thing about the Wisps winning is that they donate money to Gleaners food bank in SE Michigan which is where I do volunteer work.
  23. Weather delay at the Memorial Tournament. Stupid rain
  24. Jon Rahm leads by 4 strokes heading into round 4. As we have seen before, that lead can slip away in a heartbeat.
  25. https://www.nbcolympics.com/ NBC Olympics has updated their “sports” tab. It gives good descriptions of competition format for pretty much every event.
