Although I do sympathise with Heraskevych, he was given multiple warnings unlike Firestone. Speaking of Firestone, I can't believe he did that when Israel is currently committing unspeakable atrocities in Palestine.

Yeah, scruffy run from Weston there despite leading. That tap out of turn 2 is so unusual from him. Avoiding that tap and his early run speed was his strength and how he won the test event. His training splits through that section were super quick too, probably the first time he's done that tap. He was visibly angry with himself after that run, should've been a lot further clear.

3 so far as a Brit. Mainly due to just missing out on solid medal chances with 4ths in W Snowboard Big Air and Ski Slopestyle, and a capitulation in the medal rounds of the curling mixed doubles after dominating the round robin. Ice dance pair also had a solid chance pre-games of a medal, but made errors and finished a disappointing 7th. Hope we can turn things around in the next few days with the Skeleton and Bankes in the Snowboard Cross.

Honestly, I'll be more than happy with any colour medal in the Women's race, especially after all the 4ths we've had so far this Games. Did not expect Stoecker (and also Tarbit) to look this fast.

I know a few of the top men weren't competing and track conditions were slightly different, but it's very impressive that Pfeifer's best training run on Wednesday was within half a second of the best men's run. Almost all of that deficit was from the start, so her driving was right there with the best men despite the obvious weight disadvantage. Incredible run.

Yeah frustrating day, hope the curlers manage to get the Bronze and this isn't the start of constant near misses. Brookes is better on slopestyle though so I'm not too disappointed there. Imo Muir is also better at big air so good chances for both to come.

Pfeifer has a very high chance of Gold in Women's skeleton, won the test event in November on the Olympic track and finished 2nd in the overall World Cup standings.

Done my prediction contest and I went with 11 medals for GBR including 7 Golds. Probably ambitious and unlikely for them to all go our way, but honestly, at least five of those Gold medalists are at minimum co-favourites in their events. Just shows how good a place we're in for these games. A reminder that GBR's best previous medal haul at a Winter Olympics is 5 medals and we've never won more than one Gold at a single games. At the very least, we should beat that (hopefully I haven't just jinxed it for us).
