I found out that for an event to be considered official there is a minimum of 3 athletes from different countries. If a country backs out there is a penalty of US$1,000 so probably that's what happened. The regulation does not states anything about not giving medals to the participants if less than 3. 

Won the bid for the  Central American Games 2025 Oct 18th -30th with 35 sports
This Games start the Olympic Route for 7 Central American countries

The opening ceremony was postponed from yesterday to today after poor weather conditions.

After 34 votes Team Derry/Londonderry were eliminated and took the silver medal meaning Team Durham are the winners and take home the gold medal and the Durham coat of arms as an additional prize.
