Sarah and Molly faced an American duo in the final (in terms of the NORCECA Olympic Qualifier, won’t be an issue, as United States will qualify two pairs through World Ranking), while Sam and Dan lost in straight sets to Diaz/Alayo after having a 14-9 lead in set one.

  8. Team Homan win the women’s title at the GSOC WFG* Masters, after defeating Team Tirinzoni 8-4! Team Homan now improves to 32-4 on the season! Hopefully they can bring this form to next years Scotties (along with Worlds if they qualify) it’s been a long time since Canada’s last won a World/Olympic title in curling.

  15. Disappointing quarterfinal exit for Canada’s men’s 5000m relay, but other than that it’s been a pretty good WC for us. Excited to see what we’ll be able to do at future WCs and the World Championships in Rotterdam, with Kim Boutin back it could provide us with a couple more medal chances.
  16. Great race for him, but he’ll need to post more top 10 finishes in order to be in contention for the medals IMO. Fluke podiums happen all the time.

  20. Championship finals are set at the GSOC WFG Masters! Team Retornaz will go for a 3rd consecutive GSOC title against Team Whyte in the men’s final, while Team Homan will take on Team Tirinzoni in the women’s final. Not a good day for my favourite teams, as Team Edin fell in the tiebreaker round, Team Gushue in the quarterfinals, Team Schwaller and Team Einarson in the semifinals.
