Mixed day for Canada, but pretty good overall results on Day 3 of the ISU WC in Beijing. 1-2 for Canada in the men’s 500m, as Jordan Pierre-Gilles wins gold and Steven Dubois winning silver. Men’s 5000m relay also wins gold. On the other hand, disaster for William Dandjinou in the men’s 1000m as he gets penalized (a well deserved one though unfortunately) for coming into contact with a skater after initially finishing first, and our women’s 3000m relay (finished second originally) as they get penalized for a inactive skater on the track.
