  1. Walewska Oliveira (2008 OG champion in volleyball) passed away at the age of 42. Apparently she fell from 15th floor in some hotel
  2. Nobody cares about "international law" unless there are war crimes and genocide on the agenda. Otherwise most countries settle things internally and NEVER ask for any outside help. The exception being puppet states like Belarus asking for Russian "help" and such.
  3. 49ers beat Giants 30-12 in the first game of Week 3. Christian McCaffrey scored a TD in 12th straight game which tied the SF franchise record held by some guy called Jerry Rice.
  4. That would be improbable since USA, China, Russia and Israel among others don't recognize the International Criminal Court in Hague. We are miles removed from comparing this to the Nuremberg trials and it's easy to see why some people think ICC is a paper tiger. Because quite frankly it is if the two biggest players in the world give it a middle finger salute
  5. The Sikihist separatist movement has been forgotten by the world too, maybe if they planted a bomb on some plane like they did in the 80s that would be a good reminder but I guess Trudeau wouldn't be so supportive of them instead
  6. This is what you get when Wołosz is being a part-time NT player who only plays in the most important tournaments these days. The hype for this team was completely overblown by our media and of course now the shitstorm is coming
  7. It's official, the Polish Guardiola is in da house Gonna be a miserable time overall...
  8. Someone still cares about that piece of land? There's nothing important in Karabach, it's only a dick measuring contest between Armenia and Azerbaijan at this stage. The world doesn't care about it. I still remember TV news about the first N-K war in early 1990s. Thirty years on and it's still on. Nobody freaking cares. I bet in 2055 the next generation will be hearing about this too.
  9. If Zelensky says Poland is pro-Russia he's either completely lost his mind or plays a bigger political game. I suspect it's the latter so he's seeking support from wealthier countries than Poland. It's his choice but that would also mean the end of widespread public support for limitless Ukrainian immigrants in Poland.
  10. Ohtani has had an elbow surgery on September 19th but should resume hitting come 2024 season. He probably won't pitch until 2025 season though.
  11. The new NT manager will be announced at noon tomorrow and it will be the current U-21 manager Michał Probierz, ex-coach of Cracovia and Jagiellonia Białystok (the same club the current FA boss Kulesza was a president before). It was the most expected choice given the current situation
  12. I really don't know why FIM has picked India as the new GP venue? Did the manufacturers tell them to go there in order to boost sales? Some of these new ideas backfired before even staging a single race, Finland, Kazakhstan and people probably forgot about that circuit in Wales that was supposed to replace Silverstone on MotoGP calendar
  13. Anthony Richardson suffered a concussion in the first half vs Texans. His poor man's Cam Newton impression ain't gonna get him very far in the league but Texans are miles away from being competitive and CJ Stroud is heading down the Justin Fields path sooner rather than later?
  14. I thought isn't that bad to be losing by over 60 points even to
  15. @Henry_LeonFunny how never seems to be using that elevation advantage anymore (except 1994 WC quals). Or did they ban them from playing in La Paz too often?
  16. It's official, Fernando Santos has been fired as the manager of national team
  17. Simona Halep was last played in US Open 2022 has been officially banned for four years for the lingering roxadustat case. https://www.bbc.com/sport/tennis/66789732
  18. Yeah, that was some thriller in the end. Jets offense is toast with Zach Wilson but the defense is definitely elite. Don't bet any money on Bills making a deep run in the playoffs, if Tua avoids injuries they could be in a battle just to make a wild card in AFC behind the Dolphins.
  19. Speaking of Rodgers, he lasted FOUR snaps before Jets OL got him sacked and he's off with an ankle injury. You couldn't make this up
  20. It looks like @phelpsisn't exactly a fan of Piemonte Calcio
  21. 49ers blew Steelers 30-7 - so much for Purdy being tested after injury Raiders upset Broncos on the road 17-16. No immediate fix to Denver offense with Sean Payton either.
  22. @rybakAre you really surprised? More of fucking Krychowiak and other has-beens in NT wins 2-0. Good for them. Some heads could roll soon. The shitstorm will be just picking up more steam. This bunch of clowns is going nowhere and Lewandowski is 35 year old while being happy to keep his circle of buddies in NT.
  23. Germany usually had its star players and they did it their own way Right now they have nobody and I mean nobody. Sane is nowhere near being a world class player in the NT team. Btw, it's really rock bottom if you have to bring up Morocco of all countries to validate whatever Germany should be doing in football
  24. It's a lenghty problem to fix. Apparently Nagelsmann will come to save the day now but in reality the German NT doesn't even the depth available to challenge for major trophies anymore. Leroy Sane hasn't developed into a world class player whatsoever and we all know Werner/Havertz are not there either. It's almost as bad as the late 90s/early 00s when the team was pulled by Ulf Kirsten in his mid 30s and Carsten Jancker (before Miroslav Klose emerged).
  25. Word is Hansi Flick has been fired as NT manager. What an utter disaster this has been but the problem clearly lies with the players available IMO. Germany went ahead of the curve with development in the 2000s which allowed them to cash in for the 2014 World Cup but the world has changed since then and Germany has been clearly left behind.
