  1. McLeod going for the head-first technique. Ehammer out.
  2. Putin is still pulling the strings. The Wagner coup was probably staged to lure the anti-Putin army generals into the open and it worked. It's rather no coincidence that Surovikin was arrested shortly afterwards as one of main coup supporters. But of course Prigozhyn had to die since he served his role already. The Soviet/Russian commrades that knew too much always had to go sooner or later.
  3. But 20k became Olympic distance in mid 50s when nobody bothered about quotas and other sustainability nonsense Moreover 20km women's walking only became an Olympic sport in 2000! Until 1997 World Champs/1998 European Champs women's walking was 10.000 at the stadium so it was even more suitable to extend the women's distance and kick them out of the stadium
  4. Ntrismpioti gets the bronze so she should be the oldest medallist at these champs?
  5. You can trust WA will follow suit on IOC and claim race walking needs some changes Killing off 50k was obviously a huge mistake. Perez gets the Spanish flag but ditches it as she still has one lap to go.
  6. Kawano hangs on for bronze. Dunfee gets 4th again.
  7. Ntrismpioti still hangs on to 3rd place in the women's walk.
  8. Well, the age & repeated injuries have caught up with WÅ‚odarczyk. She had won her share of (mostly) gold medals and should retire after Paris OG.
  9. There is no "offer" so to speak. If one of them disagrees for a tied medal the jump-off goes ahead regardless what the second person says. The last time a jump-off went ahead was probably European Indoors in 2015 (Kuchina vs Trost). One year before at World Indoors in Sopot Kuchina & Lićwinko agreed to share the gold. Lićwinko said she asked Kuchina if she wants the jump-off and Kuchina said she's OK with the shared gold.
  10. There won't be more than 3 shared medals at any stage in vertical jumping events IMO. In reality only PV and HJ are affected because the number of jumps per height is fixed. Ties in horizontal jumps and throws are separated by the second best attempt. So nobody will change the rules that affects only two events of the entire lot.
  11. Warholm wins, McMaster second, Benjamin only third.
  12. They settled for shared gold so jump-off at lower height is voided.
  13. Obviously no jump-off in PV so two golds for Kennedy & Moon.
  14. Yeah, Paulino was out of reach but Kaczmarek did her best there and managed to have enough stamina for the home straight. That should be our last medal at these World Champs.
  15. Alright, time for women's 400 m final. Maybe a second medal for Poland...
  16. Ingebrigtsen showboating from SF counts for nothing. Tough sell being a celebrity like that. Funny how the second came from nowhere to win bronze.
  17. That's not how it works. Total misses at all heights is the second tie-breaker
  18. Yeah, that would be 12.5X time without the hurdle clip most likely. 12.55 from SF1 wasn't enough for FL spot.
  19. 12.55 for 4th place in 100H SF1. Pia Skrzyszowska would have to run almost PB to make the final now (since Ali & Camacho are in her SF).
  20. Wilma Murto first time over 4.80 and takes the lead again. Moon will have to jump higher to even get a medal.
  21. Wilma Murto first time over 4.75. False start in 3000 SC SF3
  22. Kipyegon visibly trolling around, let Hassan win that SF
  23. Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhyn died in a plane crash (speculation about it being shot down). No real surprise. The man was walking dead ever since the failed coup attempt. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-66599733
