I went to the Lions v. Chargers game at SOFI Stadium today. It would have been hard to choose a more entertaining game. The atmosphere in the stadium was incredible, and it was very clean for an American venue.
Chargers need a new HC. Staley has wasted Herbert's rookie contract and funnily enough the Lions OC should be #1 candidate for HC job next off-season.
Meanwhile Texans with CJ Stroud have moved into a play-off sport and Buffalo Bills dropped to 5-5 after a complete shambles defeat vs Broncos on Monday Night.

The history of man kind has been build on various forms of armed conflicts. Hence the "why can't we all live in peace?" is a complete myth for naive children.

beat 4-1. The match was interrupted because of tropical storm again

Zhang Anda won the International Championship 10-6 over Tom Ford in the final. He also potted the maximum break in the final. He came in from qualifying and it seems like 2023/24 shapes up to be his breakout season after he reached the English final few weeks ago (where he narrowly lost to Judd Trump 7-9). As a result he advances to Top 16 of the rankings and won't have to bother playing qualifying for a while in the future.

Roman Cechmanek (ice hockey GK) passed away at the age of 52.

Vlhova giving away 100 points in the overall already. Given how Shiffrin hardly ever scores a DNF that's a double bad result.

beat 1-0. The match was stopped for 20 mins in the second half due to a tropical storm

Zakopane/Jesna could maybe do a dual bid for something like that?
Lillehammer and St. Mortiz are probably about the best hosts you could ask for though.
We have ZERO alpine skiing infrastructure to hold an international event in this sport. The Nosal piste is closed since 2009 and was last renovated in the 1980s AFAIK. It went completely out of order after communism fell since the top part is owned by the National Park, the bottom is private land and has several owners and someone else owns the ski lift that I believe isn't working anyway. So yeah, there you have it
Jasna would have to host all the alpine skiing but we could host all the ski jumping

CJ Stroud set the rookie single game passing yards record last night (470 yds, 5 TD) in 39-37 win over Tampa Bay.
This game also featured the first successful field goal by non-kicker/punter since 2004. RB Dare Ogunbowale (ex-soccer player) kicked from 29 yards.

Guess who's back as year end #1? Beat Sabalenka in SF and delivered an all-time beatdown in the Cancun final

Sabalenka vs Świątek postponed until Sunday after just three games played. The shitshow conitnues. Nobody cares about the doubles so I won't talk about that.
Pegula is a HUGE favorite to win it all now since the second finalist will have to basically play four full sets on one day (and we know how the Canadian Open nonsense ended for Samsonova).

Aryna Sabalenka beats Elena Rybakina in three sets and advances into SF alongside Jessica Pegula.
Looks like Świątek vs Sabalenka SF for the YEC #1 (Iga needs to win the whole tournament though).
The weather has been a joke with the wind & rain and well, WTA gets rightfully blasted for the terrible YEC schedule for the second year running after the Fort Worth ghost town last season.

Oleg Protopopov (2x Olympic Champion in pairs) died at the age of 91.

IOC really wants to prevent pro-Palestine protests during 2024 SOG? Yeah, good luck with that especially with France having one of the largest Muslim populations in Europe (if not THE largest?)
China will jump all over this hypocrisy right away too IMO

Texas Rangers won the World Series 4-1.
Diamondbacks blowing that Game 1 lead proved to be quite critical even though they won game two.

Well, at least there is no bribery among the selection vote anymore Once Saudi Arabia decided to bid die Sache war gegessen
Like the Oprah meme, everyone gets to host a World Cup these days, from Paraguay to Saudi Arabia. It's all about the money and football is business more than a sport. Welcome to XXI century.
