Poland had Justyna Kowalczyk in cross country. And it's not like she had a private jet like Vlhova. Or Poland ever had a complex like Jasna. We had 5 km of cross country slopes in all of Poland that were Universiade level Girardelli is an Austrian, it's impossible to compare him to Vlhova or Kowalczyk in cc.

Well, no way Vlhova gets more weather luck next year so I presume Slovakians can enjoy the moment Shiffrin takes the lead. Vlhova will not win the slalom globe.

Herrmann 34th to 3rd thanks to 10/10 so far. This will be a crapshoot right until the very end.

This isn't a Hollywood movie. Vlhova needs to score 5 points in two races to win the overall She can do a random training run and win the overall by total default. The Lenzerheide weather did her all the favors and killed all the excitement. If scoring 5 points in two races is pressure for you then I'm sorry, nobody is going to believe that

What pressure? DH and SG being cancelled removed ALL the overall globe pressure. Vlhova will win it by default.

At this rate Liensberger will win the slalom globe. Shiffrin way back and Vlhova totally choked that 1,84 back. If we had the DH and SG I think Gut would have won the overall.

It seems like Herrmann's age begins to show up in the latter stages of the season now. Preuss was consistently faster than her in Nove Mesto already. Admittedly Todorova has less in her legs due to Bulgarians missing one round with covid restrictions in December but it's still impressive to see her in Top 10.

It's not THAT simple, Todorova was never considered a good skier IIRC. She shot 10/10 in Nove Mesto sprint last season and finished 1:45 Min behind Herrmann who also shot 10/10. Eckhoff shot 8/10 and was still 34 secs. quicker than Todorova. Hell, Regina Oja and Merkushyna has faster skiing time back then, hardly world beaters in terms of speed. Today she finished roughly 45 secs ahead of Herrmann who shot 8/10 so probably would have finished fairly equal to each other if Herrmann shot clear. So in a matter of 12 months Todorova has gained well over 1:30 minutes to Herrmann' skiing time which is quite impressive.

Top 13 covered by 30 seconds. Could be an interesting pursuit for a change. Career-best 8th place for Todorova.

Ekchoff wins by 2,5 secs. But this will be very tight in the pursuit. Todorova still on course for a Top 10.

Really fast skiing from Hanna Sola but only 8/10. Another chance for victory wasted for Tandrevold who even lost time to Wierer on the last loop.

Finally something respectable from Milena Todorova 10/10.
