  1. Isn't Gassama the highest rated referee in Africa right now?
  2. Matty Cash said he will drink Polish vodka for the first time if we qualify Nice to see we had at least beer ready in the locker room
  3. Dream group: Manageable group: Death group:
  4. Yeah, they will swap groups knowing Ecuador from the last pot can only go to five groups to avoid BRA/ARG/URU. The same applies to the continental playoff winner since there's a good chance CONMEBOL team beats the AFC team. I'd say there's a huge chance potentially both CONMEBOL teams from Pot 4 will go into groups with two UEFA teams but they can always luck into the Qatar group as well if Uruguay doesn't get it first. We could still get and which would probably be a dream group for Canada
  5. Yeah, it looks like Ghana, Cameroon & Tunisia (if Canada wins their last match) could all end up in Pot 4 with Ecuador, Saudi Arabia and the three play-off winners. The drawing of the lots could be a short-lived mess in Pot 4 with Asians teams in three pots and African nations spread around two pots. It would get hilarious if Uruguay gets drawn into the Qatar group straight away which would mean all 5 European teams from Pot 1 would be available to be drawn to all 5 European teams from Pot 2 and if that happens USA & Mexico would get Argentina or Brazil - that would mean Serbia and Poland would either get Qatar/Uruguay or the BRA-ARG/USA-MEX combo. And that would mean Wales vs Scotland/Ukraine winner wouldn't even be drawn since they would only have one option left. So a group and is still possible.
  6. I'm pretty sure they will start drawing from Pot 1 first so Canada will the team shuffled around Mexico & USA. You will literally only have six groups to be drawn into. This group is still possible: and
  7. A complete joke from Algeria in the end. Slimani wasted 3 minutes faking a cramp like an idiot and Cameroon literally had one chance to score the goal and they did.
  8. Cameroon scores in 124th minute! Slimani time wasting and faking an injury was useless.
  9. Algeria scores for 1-1 in 118th minute!
  10. Yeah, Egypt and Nigeria losing boosted Canada (and Tunisia) into the last two spots in Pot 3 but if Algeria qualifies they can till move up too? I read that if the CONCACAF team beats OFC team in the intercontinental play-off then Mexico and USA could still end up in Pot 4 which would be all CONCACAF teams plus Saudi Arabia and the last European play-off winner (Wales vs Scotland/Ukraine). The CONCACAF vs OFC play-off winner will be in Pot 4 anyway.
  11. Yeah, Group A would be a great reward for anyone Getting Saudi Arabia from Pot 4 also wouldn't be bad. It looks like Poland & Serbia will be the only European teams in Pot 3.
  12. Yeah, it's guaranteed we will be in Pot 3 so no Poland vs Iran match in Qatar Apparently all Asian teams except for Saudi Arabia will be in Pot 3?
  13. Thx hun I really had zero faith we could beat Sweden. We always struggle vs Scandinavian teams.
  14. Poland wins 2-0! We are going to the World Cup! Obviously everyone would want to draw us in Qatar. We last advanced to the knockout stage in 1986 (and got promptly blasted 4-0 by Brazil).
  15. Zielinski scores for 2-0 after Danielsson's error!
  16. Lewandowski scores from penalty. 1-0 Now it's time to park the bus.
  17. There was a draw which winner of SF will host the final before. Hence we knew Poland will host the final if we beat Russia (and Russia would have hosted it if they beat us). The Portugal/Turkey winner was drawn as the host for the final too.
  18. Well, 3-5-2 vs Scotland was a decoy and we go back to 4-5-1 vs Sweden. Bereszynski at LB, same old crap that Brzeczek tried and it didn't work. Sadly Rybus is perenially injured, Reca is hilariously bad and Puchacz hardly better so we have to put a Sampdoria right-back at LB out there
  19. Makarainen finished less then 3 secs behind Eder in the MS (admittedly with two less misses) but she was over 2 mins faster than Erika Janka for instance. Eder won the sprint by 1:47 mins with one miss fewer than Makarainen.
  20. Everyone would like to be in the host Qatar group anyway - even those teams from Pot 4. Obviously Asian teams can't count on that by design. Poland was lucky enough to be in the hosts' group both in 2002 and 2006 which only made our failure look even worse
  21. One week after the season ended there's a ton of positive COVID tests among Norwegians, Swedes and Germans Eckhoff, Tandrevold, E. Oeberg, Herrmann, Preuss, you name it. I suppose there was some major socializing in Holmenkollen?
