  1. Paula Milena Torres overcame her crisis and moved past Peng for 3rd!
  2. Alright, Cerny finished 7th and Babiarz finally called him a Slovakian. Ben Hlima in 10th place pending the Kim mystery.
  3. OK, so Kim has actually finished but live timing and world feed graphics decided to ignore him
  4. The Korean in 3rd was a hoax so Cerny is actually 7th.
  5. Polish TV thinks Bonfim is still 4th but suddenly realized he's 2nd
  6. Hurtado in the parking zone. Home cooking anyone?
  7. Kawano in trouble with stomach cramps. Hurtado has taken the lead.
  8. Classic reference to Polish comedy from the 1980s - "A woman is beating me!"
  9. Second time Cerny is called a Czech...
  10. @BiathlonfanHad to wait until the first split to show up. It updated after 4 kms.
  11. 15 minutes in and our lead commentator Babiarz with the first blunder - calls him a Czech... Meanwhile checking if the WA live timing works...
  12. Pół minuty zajęło mi rozmyślanie o co chodzi z tym dobijakiem. Jako człowiek oglądający NFL od ponad 20 lat odmawiam używania tej nazwy
  13. The rise of MMA has drained the boxing talent pool and the former Soviet Union is still doing fine overall. Generally 'traditional' combat sports have suffered in popularity but it's not like IOC has to only keep events that are popular in USA and Western Europe Most complains I hear are about weightlifting or wrestling so two sports that have historically been very poor for Western Europe, now add in boxing where USA has lost its Olympic powerhouse status due to athletes turning pro much earlier and the picture is complete.
  14. Agata Kaczmarska dominated the much taller Yeldana Talipova 5-0 and makes it 3/3 for the Polish women
  15. Julia Szeremeta beat Valerie Arboleda 3-2 and advanced to the 57kg final.
  16. Rygielska floored Yang in the second round, got a point deducted in the last one but still won
  17. No less then three women advanced to the semi-finals Julia Szeremeta just beat Ibragimova 3-2 and joins Rygielska & Kaczmarska who upset the Zhan.
  18. Yes but the East Prussia province itself was one of the last to fall. Konigsberg (Kaliningrad) fell on April 9th so only one week before the last Oder offensive which started on the 16th. East Prussia was cut off anyway (Russians seized Klaipeda in January already) and it was an agricultural land to begin with so it didn't even have strategic value on the march to Berlin which obviously was the priority. I hope U enjoyed the Masurian lakes trip though I'm pretty sure the Vistula Spit on the Russian side is strictly military area and it probably extends around the southern border of the Oblast too.
  19. @heywoodu@copravolleyIt was actually found near Elbląg and yes anything close to that region was most likely send from the Kaliningrad Oblast. The cities are separated by mere 100 kms (so even closer than Gdańsk). This is the old East Prussia territory. Or Teutonic Order land from the medieval times. The massive Teutonic Castle is located in Malbork to the south of Elbląg.
  20. God knows how many drones were actually send into Poland. Media are reporting new crash sites as we speak (some even 300 km from the Belarus border aka Lodz voivodeship).
  21. The ban is set at 3.000 meters so technically they could play in Sucre at 2.800+? But is there any FIFA-approved stadium there? I suspect Peru doesn't play at the stadium that is located even higher than La Paz?
  22. Well, I still remember when Mancini & Vialli didn't play for NT because of a feud with Arrigo Sacchi (or was that Sacchi vs Sampdoria in general?). Anyhoo, Euro 2021 was like the veteran's last dance and it was won more by the defense which is fine. If GK is your biggest star then it's usually a major problem. But overall, yes, Italy has a group of players but not a team.
  23. The Italian NT gives an impression of random dudes tbh. No fear factor or anything. Just average at best.
  24. Btw, Sabalenka is 21-1 in tie-breaks this season. That's quite exceptional both ways (the fact she even played this many of them). Granollers & Zeballos saved 3 MP to win the men's doubles over Skupski & Salisbury. Dabrowski & Routliffe won the women's doubles on Friday over Siniakova & Townsend.
  25. I watched some college football myself, not this season yet except OSU vs Texas. Some of the matches where power house schools pay D1 minnows to win 63-0 ain't my thing to watch
