  1. Badosa & Tsitsipas. But she won in the end
  2. The team still has 3 players from that 2015 WC final squad but guess the new imports ain't as good
  3. I posted about Alimbekava in 2022. She was approached by Kazakhstan back then already and simply declined their offer. Guess nothing has changed since then.
  4. Big upset in the women's draw as last year's finalist Zheng Qinwen loses in two sets vs Laura Siegemund in R2.
  5. LA Rams beat Minnesota Vikings 27-9 in the last wild card game. Terrible play from Sam Darnold for the second week in a row and he cost himself millions since I reckon they will roll with JJ McCarthy from next season like originally planned when they drafted him in the first round.
  6. USA will probably not approve it since it will lessen the medals' total. Shooting is one event where both USA & China would be keen to keep as it is.
  7. Sunday recap: Buffalo Bills beat Denver Broncos 31-7. Broncos kept it close in the first half then missed a FG as half-time clock expired and did nothing in the second half. Bills vs Ravens showdown in Divisional round incoming. Philadelphia Eagles beat Green Bay Packers 22-10. Packers offense and special teams were putrid, Jordan Love had 3 INT and once again looked mediocre (duh) vs a contender. Washington Commanders beat Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-20 in what was expected as the closest game of the lot. Zane Gonzalez hit a GW FG off the post as clock expired. It's the first playoff win for Washington (then Redskins) since 2005 season.
  8. Lindsey Vonn in 4th and would have been on the podium if not for lost time in the last technical section. It's clear she's still got some juice (like riding a bike, aye) and overall the level of women's speed events has kinda dropped which means she can do some podium damage until WOG 2026
  9. Paula Badosa beats Wang Xinyu 6-3 7-6(5). Meanwhile the custom Nike dress for Aryna Sabalenka looks terrible.
  10. Baltimore Ravens beat Pittsburgh Steelers 28-14 in the second AFC wild card game. The game wasn't even that close as Ravens dominated with 298 rush yards and led 21-0 at half-time.
  11. Houston Texans beat LA Chargers 32-12 in the first wild card. Texans played crap for 20 minutes but Chargers only kicked two FG early and did even less after that save for one TD heave when down three possessions. The extra point was blocked and returned for a 2 pt defensive touchdown.
  12. Michelon passed Grotian on the last loop for 4th. Todorova 7th in the end after 18/20.
  13. France 1-2-3-4 after prone shooting and Simon misses 4 shots in the first standing. Jeanmonnot leads out of the range ahead of Todorova.
  14. The last time this happened - all three athletes on the podium had zero podiums before - was Les Saisies sprint in December 1990: Uschi Disl, Elena Melnikova (future Sergei Tchepikov's wife) & Kerstin Moring. The latter two never finished on the World Cup podium again. This was also the race where Disl became the second youngest World Cup winner ever (currently down to third because of Neuner).
  15. The Monday wild card game between Rams & Vikings has been moved to Glendale (Arizona Cardinals' stadium) due to the fires in LA area.
  16. Monika Hojnisz finished 28th - 2:08 behind the French winner.
  17. Rams could well beat Vikings and this is a real coin toss. Sam Darnold's first playoff game and he looked bad vs Lions last weekend in the #1 seed decider already. This is one of these rare games when a wild card team has a much better record and the home team is the underdog on paper but Rams can pull this one off and it ends up being a "non-upset" upset.
  18. I still remember how Demi Moore swept the Razzies for Striptease almost 30 years ago and she won Golden Globes now? The acting industry must be short on talent, scripts or everything else This being said I don't really watch too many new TV shows these days least of all those Marvel/DC action hero stuff that has taken over in the last decade plus. I know it's a box office gold mine but completely not my taste.
  19. I'm not surprised. Colturi seems to be trending in the right direction (duh) and the rest of the Italian women's team is nowhere except veterans Brignone and Goggia. The Delagos have regressed badly for whatever reason and even Bassino has kinda stalled despite still being in her prime. The shit will soon hit the fan but it's probably to late before the next OG. It would be ridiculous if Albania wins more medals in alpine skiing than Italy
  20. The regular season is over. Tennesse Titans get #1 overall pick for the 2025 draft after NE Patriots beat the Buffalo Bills back-ups on the last day. Mike Evans (Buccaneers) ended his 11th season with 11th mark of 1,000 receiving yards which ties Jerry Rice's all-time record. Bucs needed to run one more play to get him 5 yards he needed instead of kneeling down a game they had won already. Wild Card Schedule: My picks: Chargers, Ravens, Bills, Eagles, Commanders, Vikings
  21. Yeah, it's a problem esp. for non-Olympics or Paralympics categories. Idk if anyone else but me voted for a Formula 1 driver
  22. 90th Polish Sports Personality of the Year "Przegląd Sportowy" Plebiscite 1. Aleksandra Mirosław (speed climbing) 2. Natalia Bukowiecka (Kaczmarek) (athletics) 3. Wilfredo Leon (volleyball) 4. Iga Świątek (tennis) 5. Bartosz Zmarzlik (speedway) 6. Daria Pikulik (track cycling) 7. Julia Szeremeta (boxing) 8. Robert Lewandowski (association football) 9. Klaudia Zwolińska (canoeing) 10. Ksawery Masiuk (swimming) Team of the Year: Men's volleyball NT Coach of the Year: Mateusz Mirosław (speed climbing)
  23. Less NFL games in Top 100 only because it was the presidential elections year in USA
