In a second or third area? In countries that are located on different continents? Bad idea. Let's see how the 2030 World Cup goes and how disadvantaged teams that will play in South America before flying back to Europe will be. -
Exactly. UEFA tried this pan-European hosting idea with Euro 2020 and it proved to be a disaster not only from a logistics view. Safe to say that idea won't be brought back for decades again.

Selina Grotian is the 6th youngest World Cup winner among women (20yo 8 months). Elin Kristiansen remains the youngest at 19yo 6 months (Anterselva 1988 sprint). Magdalena Neuner is the only other athlete to win before turning 20yo (19yo 11 months). Uschi Disl (20yo 1 month), Svetlana Davidova (20yo 3 months) & Martina Glagow (20yo 4 months) were also younger.

Could be the waxing on the last lap fresh snow. Auchentaller, Wierer & Trabucci all fell off on the last lap and basically had the slowest skiing time there? Overall though you have a problem, days of prime Wierer & Vittozzi won't be repeated soon but then I hear the same issues in alpine skiing where there is a huge gap behind Brignone & Bassino (the latter being 28 years old already). And someone claimed Colturi would have plateau'd if she stayed with the Italian federation as well.

Fialkova had to have the fastest skiing time? She made up 8 seconds in the last km on Richard. Probably the fresh falling snow rendered some waxing more suitable than others.

Yeah, excluding the Macuga girl (who is relative newcomer) Vonn still beat all the "veteran" US skiers which doesn't really put them in a great light (and only one of them was barely within one second of Vonn).

Lampic could have contended for the pursuit podium even with five misses but six was one too many. Grotian had a ski binding failure on the first lap
