  1. rolling over 5-0 so far. Well, guess Honduras is weaker than some people here thought in the World Cup thread? @mrv86
  2. 15 minutes left in Le Mans 24 hours and could be a huge day for Poland
  3. won 5-0 and actually showed pity since the best player Quenda was subbed off at half-time. Polish media report this is supposed to be a "weaker" generation of Portugal but also some of their journos mocked our defense having the level of Gibraltar (which is correct, it's mind-boggling how Peda literally landed on his ass when Quenda put one spin move on three defenders at the samee time).
  4. getting trashed by 4-0... at half-time
  5. @mrv86Well, that's the luck of the draw. Honduras seems like the only team from the second pot to have a genuine chance of winning the group so someone had to play them. CONCACAF is very top-heavy in general for years. I suppose Curacao doesn't have money or interest to try and poach some dual-citizen talent who's been developed in Holland?
  6. Because of a huge pro-Israeli lobby in most Western democracies? Israel can start WW3 and USA & co. will do nothing about it IMO.
  7. Michał Probierz has resigned this morning Good riddance! The shit storm proved too big. Every frickin' journalist grilled him after the Finland game. The only way he could kick this can down the road until the September qualifiers was to beat Finland and that didn't happen.
  8. beat 2-1 so Probierz's master sabotage has blew up in his face and there's a proper shit storm in the media. The pathetic FA boss Kulesza won't fire the clown and now wants to mediate between him & Lewandowski. This ain't going nowhere anytime soon. The worst part is Kulesza had no rival in the upcoming elections so we're set for four more years of this nonsense.
  9. Greta Thunberg lost the progressive liberals' support faster than Julian Assange over the last few years Obviously nobody in the liberal West will be cheering for 'Free Palestine' anytime soon in a stark contrast to these 'Free Tibet' calls from a decade plus.
  10. Yeah, that match was something else
  11. Robert Lewandowski said he won't be available for NT selection as long as Michał Probierz remains the manager. Shit hit the fan over the weekend since Lewandowski deliberately skipped the call-ups for the Moldova friendly and the upcoming qualifier vs Finland and just few hours ago Probierz announced he stripped Lewandowski of the team captaincy
  12. Sikorski has charisma of a wooden spoon and just doesn't bring emotions whatsoever. He'd be an excellent figurehead in a communist regime though. Pomerania, Danzig and Lower Silesia. Yep, three of Civic Platform strongholds are the lands lost by Poland in medieval times to Germany. And you wonder why Tusk is accused of being a German puppet hehe. No chance. Even the former communists have distanced themselves from Russia these days let alone the right wingers like Law & Justice.
  13. I don't think so.
  14. Most voters polled are usually unwilling to admit they voted for Law & Justice candidates hehe. Moreover Trzaskowski was the "big city" candidate and the North-West part but got absolutely wrecked in the country side & the Eastern part of Poland. Map by municipality.
  15. Full results at 5:30 am CET. That is quick. Karol Nawrocki with 50.89% and Rafał Trzaskowski 49.11%. A spectacular failure for Donald Tusk & Civic Platform. Trzaskowski had five years to bounce back from 2020 defeat and he gets beat by a complete no-name who was thought of as sacrificial lamb when nominated.
  16. Late poll swing for Nawrocki
  17. Yeah, that was extremely one-sided final. Inter never showed up. What a waste after that SF thriller.
  18. Over here there was talk about Persepolis trying to sign him in the winter break but nothing happened. He's played in 31 of 32 league matches and scored 8 goals so far. He was mainly a sub at the start of the season but is a regular in the starting line-up since mid-October.
  19. Ali Gholizadeh scores the only goal in the Polish Ekstraklasa classic vs Legia Warsaw which means Lech Poznań returns to the top of the league with two matches remaining (after leaders Raków lost to outgoing champions Jagiellonia yesterday). @MHSN
  20. And I thought Zarco was never going to win a GP again after leaving Ducati
  21. Zhao Xintong wins the world title 18-12 over Mark Williams in the final. While only an amateur on paper he is the third qualifier after Terry Griffiths (1979) and Shaun Murphy (2005) who becomes world champion in the Crucible era. Also the first snooker world champion from Asia.
  22. Jochen Mass (motor racing) passed away at the age of 78 - only few days after the 50th anniversary of his only Formula 1 Grand Prix win.
  23. Better play from Williams in the second session but he trails 6-11 after day one.
  24. First session of the final is over and Zhao Xintong leads Mark Williams 7-1
  25. Aryna Sabalenka wins Madrid 1000 and further extends her lead at the top of the rankings. Coco Gauff would have moved into #2 if she won the final but the pressure is on Iga Świątek who still hasn't made a WTA final since last year's Roland Garros and will virtually drop to #4 before Rome where she defends the title.
