Although they are currently marked as having two qualified athletes, Suriname may very well be back down to 0 athletes.
Renzo Tjon-a-Joe (who qualified in swimming) recently got a dutch passport and will now represent the Netherlands internationally.
Is it official? He would have to sit out 2024 Olympics if he decided to make the switch now.
Regardless, Suriname will qualify in track cycling on Monday

Can someone explain to me how many Olympic ranking points are awarded at Super 300 tournaments? Can’t seem to find it anywhere
See here
Note starting on April 23rd the point system will change. Though the Super 300 will remain the same

More players from country with a team must be in the team
So for example in men's we have now North Korea, Cuba, probably one or two guys tomorrow (for example Spain and Romania). And maybe one from ranking Spain/Hungary/Roumania
Maximum 5 teams. (Ranking is nearly finish). So from individual ranking we will have at least 10 quota places. So we will have reallocated places if qualified player will be in this Top 10 in in individual ranking? He could play single, but still reallocated?
That player would play in singles and the top 10 becomes top 11.
The whole point is to have 86 men and 86 women compete.

So those, who earned quota in mixed doubles but also have a high ranking in singles and they qualify through the ranking, their SINGLES QUOTA will be reallocated to the next highest ranked player in the singles ranking, right? Do I understand it right? 😁😁😁😁 If so, I guess there will be more reallocations? So I guess also the quota of Doo Hoi Kem will be reallocated to another highest ranked in womens singles. So as an example, if qualifies today, Robert Gardos and Sofia Polcanova are also high ranked in singles so their singles quota also would be reallocated to another highest ranked player, right? But how about those who for example have the same player based on team qualification and they all participate in singles and also earned quota in mixed doubles? It will mean another reallocation?
If a nation earns a quota in both the team and doubles then the player competing in the doubles must compete in the team event.
To keep things simple, currently 4 men and 5 women will qualify through the world rankings, but that could increase up to 15 depending on the overlap between mixed doubles and the team or single qualifiers.

53.90 for McIntosh in the women’s 100m freestyle! New PB by about half a second!
MacNeil in second with a 54.01, MSH in third with a 54.27, and Oleksiak in fourth with a new SB of 54.43.
Not bad, hopefully they continue to cut time between now and the Olympics. We probably need to average below 54 seconds if we want to medal.

Nice match, sad for Spain, but theyvare high in ranking for 5th place, and have chance tomorrow.
Pretty much. Now that took the other quota today, there's pretty much no chance for two nations to overtake Spain

Hahaha, I can't count

Dark horse defeats Hungary in the semis. Spain will be tough, but they are at least in a good position to qualify tomorrow

Huge opportunity for both teams to qualify.

In addition to this, we may also see some quota reallocations in the sprint events as I don't think Israel and Suriname will be able to field 2 riders. I'm not sure how the logistics of that will play out. We could see and in the mix to receive reallocated quotas.
I think the NOC gets to pick which quota to decline. In a logical world they would keep the event in which they ranked higher, so Israel keeps sprint while Suriname keeps keirin. However, they are ranked similarly in both so I wouldn't be surprised if both choose to keep the same event. I imagine there will be a lot of lobbying from nations on the edge for them to pick the other event.

Top seeds are getting it done so far, though Hong Kong needed all seven sets to beat Poland.

Draw for tomorrow is out, see here.
The first two tournaments are seeded based on world rankings. Winners will qualify to the Olympics.
The third and fourth brackets will be seeded based on the performance from the first two tournaments (losing finalists will be the top seed, etc.). The winners will also qualify to the Olympics.
As are not competing, they will qualify through the world rankings on May 7th along with two more nations.

Not too surprising. Prize money at the Olympics was eventually going to happen. Hopefully, it will be the IOC that takes the initiative eventually.
This might help encourage some tennis players to take part, though 50k isn't a lot. That's around what the winner gets for a 250 event. Still better than nothing (including no ranking points).

Pretty much. ITTF added an event costing only a few singles quota with the added bonus of giving the third member of some teams something to do after the team event.
