He's still down.  I hope he's alright, but that was totally his fault from what it looks like

Can't see, if he bumped into Merlier first, which triggered the fall into Sagan, or if he just didn't have space to move and f'ed the situation.

Ewan the moron

Often, but actually not this time. Merlier 'caused' it, although not at all due to his own fault. That corner being there in the first place is a scandal by itself.

Merlier stood up to sprint, which makes you slow down for a fraction of a second. Ewan was of course right on his wheel, as he as a sprinter should, but he then hit Merlier's back wheel when Merlier stood up (and thus slowed down a tiny bit).

Nobody's fault, really, but highly unfortunate for Ewan and Sagan.

yeah he hit Merlier´s wheel which sadly subsequently ended by that crash of both Ewan and Sagan. Definitely not his fault, but knowing ASO I assume they will find a way to DSQ Sagan, remove all his points and etc...

Yea, as I look at it again, more an unfortunate matter of that last kink in the road and Ewan not anticipating how little room there was going to up against the barriers
