Women's Volleyball Qualification to Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games

The first Olympic Qualification Tournament is in January 2019. Unfortunately the FIVB made a wrong choice again. Only two (2) European teams can enter this competition. Regardless of the outcome of this years Nations League and World Championships the teams of Serbia and Russia will play this tournament. Only because of their World Cuppoints collected in September 2015!!!!! Without these World Cuppoints The Netherlands, Italy and Turkey would have a chance to participate instead of Russia. I already know that Serbia and Russia will have an extra chance for the Games of 2024, because of the points they will collect in January 2019. The other European countries won't have the chance to collect World Cuppoints. In summary: the FIVB world ranking sucks.

Well this continues the FIVB’s long and proud tradition of making unspeakably terrible qualification systems...

Yeah, that second qualifier tournament that let Puerto Rico qualify in 2016 was beyond dumb.

After the Volleyball Nations League 2018, there was no new FIVB World Ranking. It's still the World Ranking of July 2017. Why? Does the Volleyball Nations League not count for World Rankings? Anyone knows???

There was such an info in media, but it also said the qualification system will change (though it seems to have been confirmed by the IOC).

In Dutch media today there was an article about the qualification process. FIVB still not decided what to do. It seems there is an alternative qualification process in which 6 teams will qualify in the first Olympic Qualification tournament (12 teams) and 5 through continental Championships.

This sounds awful. In the first qualification Tournament only a maximum of two teams per continent can participate (three für one continent, if we include the host). Aside from the fact that I don't like it because it would reduce Germany's chances to a minimum, it also seems objectively highly unfair.

It would reduce the chances of The Netherlands as well, because Serbia and Russia are the highest European teams (and after the WCH these two countries will be still the best two, because they both participated in the 2015 World Cup and gained a lot of points). FIVB is stupid!!!
