:ARG Argentina takes team quota instead.

This is CAS upholding earlier FEI decision.

Now we wait for the decision on :SRI Mathilda Karlsson. It would be a scandal if CAS sides with FEI on this case...

Russian dressage team long-list...

  • Aframeeva Marina
  • Volonchunas Ekaterina
  • Davidova Eugenia
  • Zakhrabekova Irina
  • Ivanova Olga
  • Isachkina Regina
  • Klementieva Maria
  • Kosterina Tatyana
  • Maksakova Alexandra
  • Merkulova Inessa

Merkulova is the frontrunner (good on both her and Mister X for bouncing back from near career ending fall / injury). Kosterina had a freak debut season in 2017 (17th at the European Championships), but has struggled to recapture similar form recently. Aframeeva despreately wants another Olympics. Klementieva and Maksakova have been shooting stars as of late, Isachkina has a nice horse, while Zakhrabekova stands a chance of getting selected as well.

No chance - Volonchunas, Davidova, Ivanova.

Small update on :PAK Usman Khan...

Following the departure of Azad Kashmir, Usman Khan is now working with a new horse Kasheer. Not a bad horse (previously named Riverbreeze and campaigned by Andrew Cooper), but they are up against it.

Last month they successfully obtained MER at CCI2*-L level. They still need to obtain it at 4 more levels (CCI3*-S, CCI3*-L, CCI4*-S, CCI4*-L). Literally no mistakes allowed. They just can't afford it.

Can't tell what he is up to, but the MER period ends June 20th (pandemic permitting).

From whatever little I have been able to find about him, he is based in Germany at present and has been taking part in domestic meets.

    • I have reported this again and they said it should be fixed now, please let me know if you are still facing issues.
    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
    • Here's my calculations of the quotas.
