The the Wojcianiec-Karaevli battle is for nothing as Ukraine will get that spot after losing the team quota, right?

That is correct, unless Ukrainians save their team with 5.1 clause. Maybe they already did that. We just can't confirm right now, as the list of MER athletes hasn't been updated for some weeks.

After they update this, or after they publish the list of qualifiers here. I'm guessing they will do that on January 2-3.

We are slowly developing a complex about this country, because we are constantly losing to them in sabre too. Sabre has always been Ukrainian, epee for a draw or our slight advantage but a failed in women`s foil, which is already a shocking novelty
