Road to Paris 2024: Qualification system for Boxing

That makes participation in tournaments and getting ranking points important. Good move rather than qualifying tournaments.

Wow, we now have a :GBR Kabbadi League!  Seems a bit more…diverse…than the Swiss Cricket Team for example.

To be frank, Treesa/Gayatri have not done enough to get automatic spot. But they and Ashwini/Sikki should not have much problem in qualifiers. Specially since Tanisha/Rutuparna have split.

My team:

MS: Lakshya, Srikanth, Prannoy, Mithun

MD: Satwik-Chirag, Arjun-Kapila, Krishna-Vishnu

WS: Sindhu, Malvika, Anupama, Aakrishi, Ashmita

WD: Treesa/Gayathri, Ashwini/Sikki, Tanisha

So Treesa and Tanisha will not be partnering each other is it, that seemed more logical to me?

As of today, Tanisha is looking for a new doubles partner. I am sure Tan Kim Her and other coaches will find a new partner for her soon. Whether it will be Treesa or someone else, let us wait and see.

You understand Hindi? Btw leagues and all are good for the players but eagerly awaiting for the World Cup (standard style itself) which I can't see in immediate future.

The last International Kabaddi tournament was Baghbandhu Cup 2022. Here are a few links if you wish to watch.

@Griff88 Post AG 2018 Indonesia doesn't seem interested in the sport at all. Losing to Iraq.

    • That was known from the start for  and will be planned for.   Sadly just the reality of sports in North America. Canada and the US are both huge, a flight from Vancouver to Halifax or from Seattle to Miami is north of five hours. Every sports league in North America has to deal with this kind of travel logistics on the regular, so none of this will seem particularly unusual to a North American player.
    • That’s not a long distance, it’s barely a 2h flight and there is no difference in timezone. Easily doable for fans as well.
