Asian boxing qualifiers happening..... Thank god....... India has great chances..... The draws have been reasonably kind.....

I feel vikas 69 , Amit 52 , manish 63 , satish 91+ should qualify , also ashish 75 has a good chance......

In women Mary 51 , lovlina69 , pooja  75 have great chance..... Hopefully one of sakshi / simranjit.....

So my guess 4-5 /4 qualifiers.....

Last time we had just 3 so surely, I feel we will get more than 8 ( which was the highest we got at London 2012 ) .... If not at this qualifiers but surely by the end of the world qualifiers....  I feel only naman in 91 and gaurav in 56 are facing very strong rivals in Amman, all the rest can do it...  So I feel 8/9 now and possibly 1-2 at the world's......

4 Indians in top 100 of Men's Singles as Anthony Amalraj jumps 7 ranks to 98.

Sutirtha Mukherjee jumps 51 places and is second best Women's Singles player. She is 109th while Ayhika is 113th.

How will TFFI select players to participate in qualification tournaments

    • Shades of 1998 with  and  in the same group but this time it's really a terrible draw for the Thistles. I recall Brazil and Scotland played in the same group in 1974 and 1990 too so that's quite a high probabiliy rate.

    • I think I can live with the draw , not a bad group at all. just a week ago our mafia coach said his dream group is Belgium, Egypt and Haiti, he almost got that !   but it's really hard for me (and so many others) to cheer for this team, A mafia boss coach, disgusting group of players. I never had this feeling about any NT in any sport before but still the national team is the national team. you have to like it  coaches and players come and go, the team is what matters.   if the team makes it to the competition, I'm sure there will be lots of Iranians in the stadium despite the orange's ban, that will never be a problem.
    • Belgium is the luckiest in this story
    • One of the worst possible draw for us. Group really easy but having to face  or  in the Round of 32 is devastating.
