Vijender Singh to face ex-Euro champ Kerry Hope in WBO title bout in New Delhi

There will be two four-rounders, two six-rounders, and an eight-rounder before Vijender’s title bout on that day. But for Vijender at stake, apart from the title, is a place inside the top-15 of WBO rankings. That would pave the way for a world title bout for Vijender soon.

But the average of the best 2 performances are taken in the qualification period. Hence India needs to do much better in the next event, hope there will be better competition for us.

Krishna kumar (7.01m) is a good prospect at 19years, Though he is an decathlon athlete but looks good for Long Jump with such a good jump record...

Jisna Mathew (53.85s) in 400m Women race at 17 years. Surely the next star in the  Indian athletics. I feel if we add her for the 4x400m relay she would be a great asset.

Pankaj Malik (47.85s) in 400m Men at 18 years. Good prospect for future.

Maymon Poulose (14.02s) in 110m H Men at 19 years. Good competitor for senior to enhance...

Lili Das( 2:06.64s) in 800m women at 18 years. best for Tintu to push her..

Sania may pick Prarthana Thombre(doubles rank: 209) or Ankita Raina(289) in doubles. She won Asian Games bronze with Prarthana and they played together in Fed Cup as well.

Ankita also had quite good results recently. But most likely Prarthana is gonna be the lucky girl

    • I used to think Johnston(e) - from some place John build (aka stone for building something hehe).   I'm not familiar if Scottish or Irish clans are named after such clan founder or a place?
    • i'm triggered,legitimately thought kennedy 2.0 happened,just way more out of nowhere
    • Perfectly obvious.    Johnson = son of John Johnston or Johnstone = From St John's Town ie Perth in Scotland.
    • Nope. Azu missed out by 0.01. Bromell lost silver by 0.001!
    • Double silver and no medal for Bromell?
