Ok, so these were only purposedly unnecessary exaggerations by some our "journalists" more precisely their "well played personal assumptions" as I expected. No need to pay any attention to it then. Glad to hear that.

Unfortunately, some especially nationalist-oriented parties here are only waiting for such moments so that they can immediately jump on the topic and play that card while exaggerating as much as they can and search to present problems which in reality are not at all.

Thanks

Unfortunately this is the biggest newspaper in Hungary, whats more a Fidesz friendly newspaper! And yes, that bad noise is from this article itself! This article would fit with a nationalist-oriented partiy's newspaper, but with this one!

Coup number how many is that in that part of the world this year? This will be a bit of a big deal in international news for a little bit and then we go on ignoring Niger (which most non-African people have probably never even heard of, unfortunately), until the next coup in *insertrandomcountryinthesamearea*....

No way it's the last coup (attempt) in the region even this year :p

Ok, not even this month

Nestlé being mentioned as dangerous parasites, that provides like half the jobs in my town :d (ok not exactly half, but it is big enough as a job provider here to greatly influence stuff like where a new road will be made)

@heywoodu I haven’t bought Nestle products in years. They were caught taking water from a spring in California during the drought when they didn’t even have a license to do so. Not to mention all the allegations about child labor and whatnot.

I have no idea what is and isn't Nestle, but apparently KitKat is, so...sorry :p

    • Even though I'm not the biggest fan of her, always sucks to see a career ending through injury and not on your own terms
    • This is going to have an effect on very likely 0 athletes, possibly 1 or 2 we don't really know about yet. It's really mostly the cheapest possible way for them to make a sort of political statement, without having any significant backlash since it won't really affect anyone at the top level of international sports.   Edit: worded a bit wrong, I was thrown off by everywhere 'trans women' being mentioned as the target of this. Of course there is also the somewhat larger category of DSD and the likes, which will certainly affect a few athletes - unfortunately they are often thrown under the bus or mentioned as 'not really women anyway' or something like that, despite, you know, being.
    • Mary Rand has died aged 86. The first British woman to win a Gold in track and field at the 1964 Tokyo Games (where she also took home a further two medals in the Women’s 4x100m relay and Pentathlon).
    • Athing Mu competed in the USA trials in 2024 and 2025 post the 2023 rule changes. She also won Gold in 2022 and Bronze in 2023.    Jelimo the jury is out. She doesn’t look male like the other two do.
    • People focus on trans people because it's easier to pinpoint the affected athletes. Meanwhile it's the athletes with (suspected) DSDs that will have tougher time to convince the authorities and the public opinion that they belong to women's sports.
    • badminton queen Carolina Marin announced that she can't take part into the home Europeans in the upcoming weeks because of her injured knee and calls it a career 😭
    • yes, there are (or there was, at least) don't forget that the women's 800m had world and olympic champions like Semenya, Jelimo and Nyonsaba...basically, it was 10 years of DSD winners only the same Athing Mu was suspected to be DSD (never confirmed, but somehow she totally disappeared after Tokyo) then, there were the 2 girls from Namibia (1 won a medal over 200m in Tokyo) in Italy we have the living scandal Valentina Petrillo (a paralympian!!!), who's actually a real man not to mention the weightlifter from who took part into the Tokyo Games so, it's a real problem all around the globe, not just a US crusade against a few woke idiots
