“Gone With the Wind” doesn’t really paint a realistic picture of our history

If I demand that Slumdog Millionaire/Hostel/Borat be recalled as it doesn't really paint a realistic picture of India/Slovakia/Kazakhstan would you support it or laugh at me that I am being overly sensitive.

No, those should absolutely come with a prompt the promotes discussion on the topic of satire, or the history slums in India. I feel like that’s a fair compromise for all sides.

Hostel/Borat are highly insensitive, so I don’t think too many people would be sad to see them go honestly. Slumdog Millionaire is one of the my all-time favorite movies, but I do understand that’s it’s a dramatic story more than an accurate picture of Indian culture.

140 character tweet is too big for attention span of most of the people and you want to include prompts before each and every movie? Answer to GOTW/Slumdog or other movies is not bans/prompts or history lessons, if you think these are not realistic picture, make a better picture which is more realistic.

Everyone loves to complain about people’s attention spans, but I’m certain people would read that stuff. Of course, I really don’t care if HBO takes down a movie, puts a prompt before it, or chooses to do nothing. They are a business, they are allowed to make their own choices. Just as I am allowed to either support/not support them financially based off those choices.

Same way other people are allowed to say that HBO and many others are acting childish.

Just as other people are allowed to say that HBO is making a powerful statement about race in the United States.

We also need prompts for Frankenstein/Dracula/Black Panther, explaining it's not a realistic depiction of Germany/Romania/Africa. :old:
