Is there anything we should know about the new president, or is it just business as normal in Croatia?

Well, it is a change, since he defeated the current president... But then again, he was already a prime minister around here.

Threatening cultural sites ? I remember only two organizations did that before. Taliban and ISIS. this puts USA in the same category as them. actually there are more similarities.

only two months ago, IR was in its weakest point after the protests. this is a rough estimate but I can say their support was something like 10-15% at the time. but just after that terror and now the new tweet I can say things have changed completely. now it's something like 80-85% of course a foreign enemy always unified the people. specially someone with IQ of a monkey and a big mouth.

this terror has rejuvenated and prolonged IR for another 20 years . for people like me (who believe in slow changes) that was a punch to the face. that was 100 steps backward. threatening the cultural sites, even the thought of this will pull Iranians of all political spectra behind the IR. they lost an important general but gained a lot instead. the turnout for Soleimani's funeral was beyond imagination. for most people he died a hero. he died making Iranian borders "safe" against terrorist groups like ISIS , Taleban, Alahwaz, Rigi group etc.

to me personally, I can never convince myself to mourn for someone like him, yes he was a war veteran in 8 years bloody war against Saddam (and guess who sold weapons, specifically chemical weapon to him) and I always respect all of them but then he was a member of IRGC (aka Sepah) and while himself wasn't involved directly, but his organization is responsible for so many bad things here. but I can say most people do not share the same view as me.

ps: IR means Islamic Republic, the current regime

no more of that nice lady who wanted to hug everybody ?! :d pity

No... Looks like she enjoyed more popularity abroad than here. And now it will be the complete opposite. This new guy is so short-tempered that he is just waiting to make new enemies. :d

It's weird (at least for me, as I don't dwell on politics, at all). For a long time she enjoyed the highest approval ratings of any politician, and then suddenly everyone started calling her stupid and stuff. As if we need a smart president - it's essentially a popularity contest given the limited presidential powers around here.

C'mon man you should have known that.

Isn't it the US which bred those organization.

I wouldn’t say we bred them. We made the conditions necessary for them to become mainstream. Plus, we armed them as allies at one point...

Well, you wanted the return of Cold War @Olympian1010 so Trump threatening to escalate the heat in Middle East fits right within your wishes :p

I’m not going to debate that I did, but when did I exactly?

Venezuela’s economy failed because of systemic corruption that lead to violent protests. Plus the socialist part failed to fully modernize the country and never varied it’s economical sectors enough.

On rare occasion I agree with Trump. I’m not pro-trade war, but I really don’t see any other options besides trying to crash their economy or crash ours so badly it kills them (which obviously wouldn’t work because it’d damage us too much).

In October 2019 :p Hell, Cold War 2.0 is a rare occasion you agree with Trump so yeah, this fits right within your script!

    • Olivia Weaver was up 9-4 in the 5th game.  Hania El Hammamy  then scored 5 straight points to tie it up.  Then, took the lead with a sixth straight point, then won with a 7th straight point, taking the Sprott Tournament of Champions in New York.  Still, congrats to Weaver for bringing home second place!  (And congrats to El Hammamy...what a streak at the end!)
    • One thing working in our favor with Luge is that Women's Doubles is just one sled per NOC, so I like our chances there.  We'll be 3rd or 4th in the Relay (one of my favorite events)...if everyone slides cleanly, we'll probably be 4th, behind , , and ...but anything can happen in the relay.  (I think in my official predictions I had us 3rd.  Wishful thinking, I suppose.)
    • They can also just count DNSs to handle this specific situation.
    • I suspect IBSF will make the point system equal in the future regardless on the number of competitors.   My fear is that they will make the awarded points lower, like only 90 points to the winner to balance it out.
    • Olivia Asselin (freestyle skiing)   She was at the X Games competing this week. Another medal hope out the drain, she was in the form of her life
    • You'd have to ask her simpatic boyfriend from the USA about that, who is often seen at competitions with her participation
