Yes, because the woman he allegedly assaulted only started coming out about that in recent times. Not in the media I mean, but also to her therapist, husband etc.

And by the way, this is an incredibly important position he is about to be gifted. The very least they can do is let the FBI investigate this specific case in depth. Every single FBI investigation is 100 times better than a discussion between Democrats and Republicans who mostly care about their partisan stuff.

 

If Kavanaugh is innocent, an FBI investigation clears his name (which is very much not clear right now) --> Kavanaugh wins

 

Why on earth would they not simply let the FBI investigate this specific case? Do they have something to lose and hide?

Or even let people talk to Mark Judge, that’s what still seems shady to me. Plus, the yearbook thing to me is, yeah he was a kid, but it still reveals things about is party nature.

Mark Judge apparently refused, and only sent in a statement through his lawyer.

 

By the way, I don't think people should be forever punished for what they did in their high school and college years, where drinking and partying is rather normal apparently. The bigger worry is still that he was sitting there pretending to be the victim, and acting in a way that shows he finds his partisan beliefs more important than a fair judiciary system.

 

No, people should not simply believe Kavanaugh 'because it's a charade against him'.

No, people should not simply believe Ford 'because everyone needs to be believed'.

 

Only more reasons to let the FBI conduct a thorough investigation into this specific case.

I'm not nearly enough into the case to make any kind of judgement, but this is not about President Trump or not President Trump (for once). 
It's more about Kavanaugh's views, especially when it comes to abortion, a question Kavanaugh answered in a very vague fashion (but sadly it could very well be enough to get the support of the moderate and more pro-choice republicans like Collins and Murkowski)
