Meanwhile Masnada somehow managed to close the gap to Pogacar. Probably going to fight for the win, the group behind him (filled with incredible quality) isn't really closing in.

There was like a 5km period in which they did something and indeed closed in rapidly, and then...everyone just decided to leave it at that  

 

While only Alaphilippe of course had a legitimate reason not to ride.
