Beach handball will make it’s “Olympic debut” in Paris as an exhibition event, set to take place from July 27-29. 
 

There will be four teams competing in each of the men’s/women’s tournaments. One of those teams will be France’s national team, and the other three teams will be comprised of various international athletes.

Somewhat safe or not, of course the athletes are going to be sent into the water anyway, but for their sake I hope it does indeed improve in the next few months..

The president of the Paris 2024 Olympics has admitted that the triathlon competition could be delayed, or the swimming leg even cancelled, if adverse weather conditions impact on water quality in the River Seine this summer.

I would.  3+ months out from the games, they're not going to put it in a stadium and if they do, that stadium is probably going to not have fans in it.  If something happens that they have to scrap the current plan, the backup will be something that will likely be a primarily TV only event and not something the public can be a part of
