Alpine Skiing FIS World Championships 2021

Recommended Posts

Calm down, calm down. On the FIS website there's now a document saying 'Results qualification race'. For the parallel event in Lech, there was a document 'Results qualification run' and (later!) came another document 'Results elimination run'.

So I think we can assume the qualification run is indeed completed, but the second run is called elimination run and comes later.

There will be definitely no second run ... Inspection for the final is already at 12:30 and they have to switch the slope

The men could not race there second run at 12:00 and be already at the inspection 30 minutes later.

In the fis start times also stands 09:00-11:00

Where did you find info about changing slopes, this is something new?

Wait, so the qualifying is on another run entirely than the race?

Bring this in F1, qualifying for the Italian GP on Monza and the race at Imola :d

Why the hell is Bassino in the final with Bib 15? She had only the 17th fastest time ...

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)
