heywoodu 15,186 Posted December 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 21, 2017 And the schedule (it's only in German, but it's easy, Freistil = freestyle, klassisch = classic, Verfolgung = pursuit, bzw. = first the men's distance, then the women's distance) . dcro 10,210 Posted December 21, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 21, 2017 And Olympic qualification. It's feasible that Laukkanen might be a part of the Finnish team sprint relay, so she'll need two more sprints to qualify. heywoodu 15,186 Posted December 21, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 21, 2017 (edited) Exactly. Plus there's no biathlon in that time anyway, why not get some more competitive rhythm. Besides, Laukkanen has already proven more than once she's very much capable of being a serious World Cup-level cross-country skier in the sprint. Edited December 21, 2017 by heywoodu Agger 1 . heywoodu 15,186 Posted December 30, 2017 #8 Share Posted December 30, 2017 The Tour has started, no surprises in the women's sprint qualifying. The only notable things are Randall not making it (but then again, she's not that great like she was a few years back) and Lampic ending somewhere in the back. . heywoodu 15,186 Posted December 30, 2017 #9 Share Posted December 30, 2017 Sundby doesn't make the cut. Slightly surprising, since he's shown more than once that he is very capable of even finishing top-10 in these things, but then again, it's the Olympic season, I doubt the Tour de Ski is where he wants to be in his best shape. .
