1. Thiam 6891 (-122)
2. Vetter 6820 (+184)
3. Oosterwegel 6510 (+202)
4. Vidts 6508 (+268)
5. Annie Kunz 6473 (-230)
6. Williams 6483 (-200)

With two events to go. Potentially tight battles for both gold/silver and bronze/nothing and especially the latter I did NOT expect to be between these ladies :yikes:

6,60 for Thiam. Guess she is the slight favorite to win now?

Entirely depending on her elbow. I really hope it holds and she can have a normal throw there, in which case Vetter needs something amazing to pass her. Normally Vetter should be able to run for silver as long as she has a not-terrible javelin throw.

So Oosterwegel is a good 800m runner or JV thrower if you have her into the medals? She's only 8th after five events :p

Oosterwegel can make up 100+ on everyone in front of her with the javelin, possibly even 200+ on Vidts (although Vidts is of course performing great). As always, with emphasis on 'can', it's based on previous performances, not on a crystal ball :p

Especially Kunz, Williams and Ahouanwanou should be beatable on the 800m as well, with Bougard being better, but also the one who might lose the most on javelin throw. It really is a tight battle for bronze with at least four realistic winners of it.

January 8th.   And we are January 8th , 45 years later.
