Moradi wasn't stupid to start with 230 or something while he only needed 220 to secure the gold in first place and then he broke the WR twice . :) great result for him, he wanted to break this CJ record for a long time.

and also that was a bit surprising bronze medal for Mousavi, he could beat Didzbalis for the silver but still bronze is very good for him.

and Rostami can go to hell now :d

Did he ever compete for Egypt ? I was wondering since IWF database has no history of that, but he is such a great weightlifter and also a nice guy.

he made a big mistake in his CJ attempt, that last attempt didn't change anything for him.. 3 more kilos would put him in bronze medal position but luckily for Mousavi he went for 220.  even though 220 looked like his max for today but he had to try 223 for the bronze.

he took part in some youth tournaments , but when his Father a former Egyptian international lifter went coach Qatar in 2014 he took him , few months later he broke YWR in Qatar international tournament in men's -77 Kg , but i must admit that he wouldn't have boomed like this if he stayed here

This is not turning out well for the IWF.

Moradi and Didzbalis are #6 and #7 former cheats to win total medals.

in athletics and swimming we also ad former cheaters, people rarely get lifetime ban

IWF has to hope that they are finally clean

Just checking here.

Is Alihosseini of Iran in the over 105 kg class the same person who has served 10 years of doping bans?

Yes he is and I think I wrote about him before.

and while I don't say such a thing for any other athlete, he was probably not guilty in both cases.

    • Many things, probably they thought it is already over and the win will come itself... but also Nitra improved their play a lot, they outplayed us in physicality in the last 2 games, they won almost every duel. Was hard to watch. Anyway I am still persuated we will finish the job at home with success on Tuesday
    • If you look at their results this season and on the Super Series, it’s not really that surprising.    I’d consider them to be medal contenders.
    • At one point it seemed we were making good progress in this sport, but in the past 1-2 years things seem to have hit a standstill..   Ivaylo Ivanov is still our only elite judoka, but he is passing 30. There were/are some promising youngsters, but they haven't been able to make a jump to the senior level. At this Euro we barely had any first round wins (not including Ivanov). In fencing and taekwondo the results are much more visible for us.
    • yes, but that's only an (important) episode... I mean, what's up with your team more in general...it looks like they got the classic "fear to win", they're not as brilliant as they were in the early games of the series
    • after a few leagues ended well before the true climax, now we have both leagues from the good, old Czechoslovakia going to game #7    shame that both games will be at the exact same time
    • complete blackout resulting in a 5 minutes major 3 minutes to the end
    • Extraliga Playoffs   The Finals (Best-of-7 Series)   Game #6: HC Kometa Brno (4) - HC Dynamo Pardubice (3)  1-5 (0-1, 0-1, 1-3)   the series is tied 3-3 and also in Czechia we're gonna watch the magic of a game 7...Extraliga does never disappoint its fans    Game #7 is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29th in Pardubice @ 6 p.m. CET
