Of course we don't. How could we? But it shows that even later BIBs have a chance to beat Dressen. Btw we do not see around 40% of the course.

As I said, track has been getting gradually worse, which I think it’s pretty obvious to see.

My point still stands, Hirscher was extremely lucky to get the bib2, it was the best possible bib today for skiers ranked 11-20 on start list rankings.

Let me refer to you to the 2nd training where Hirscher was +3.91 seconds behind on this same course, while he may not have been going 100%, it’s still stupid to think his run today wasn’t helped by great conditions as opposed to later bibs.

I think it's stupid to draw anything from the training runs, the course is completely different + (as Dreßen said before the race) the snow conditions completely changed (much more agressive), but i see that you are not willing to talk about facts, so why not save us both some time?

So you seriously think Hirscher had the same conditions as Kilde, Bennett and Caviezel? :wall:

Sorry I don't see facts that support your thesis. But you have the right for your own opinion.

Rewatch the race and also look at the wind that accompanied Bennett and Kilde. I mean even some slalom specialists are in front of Bennett.

So how are you going to deny that bib 2 wasn’t better than bibs 14-20

Do you really think that the wind had any influence on the eventual medallists? Do you really think that Hirscher should be much more than 0.2-0.3 s ahead of Hirscher on a course like that? Even if Hirscher and Dreßen both would have been 0.5 seconds slower, than what exactly would have changed? Gold/silver still would have been between Hirscher and Pinturault and bronze probably between Schwarz, Aerni, Muffat-Jandet and maybe someone else. The speed guys never had a medal chance today.

Von Appen makes million mistakes and still less than 2 secs behind. Yeah, wind has no influence.

Von Appen is a well-known specialist who you'd clearly expect to finish close to the top. Obviously.

    • It's all hogwash especially in the short attention span generation. Like nobody cares about Free Tibet anymore either. Free Palestine will last a lot longer due to Saudi Arabia becoming a sponsorship force in sports.   Israel is too weak in soccer to qualify from UEFA zone. The only time they qualified was from the Asian zone and they only beat Australia & New Zealand who were complete nobodies in the 1960s. No such luck in the 60 years since.
    • Oh I assure you FIFA dodger a bullet with Israel not qualifying…   But ya that’s kind of the thing, shut up and dribble is a mantra anti LGBT people have used often. I don’t think it’s hypocritical to remind them of their position
    • Ah, yes but that's not how pro athletes are taught in North America these days? Shut up & dribble is xenophobic, racist or whatever? The hypocrisy of some of these policies were exposed during 2022 World Cup already where the Saudis played it smart and waved their own "Free Palestine' slogans. Forget LGBT rights for a moment, how many 'Free Palestine' flags will be waved in 2026? Or will those be confiscated by default? Somehow I feel this won't be met with similar backlash when China clamped down on 'Free Tibet' in 2008 OG. Saudi Arabia is more important to global markets than Iran & Egypt
    • Wisła Płock just assumed 1st position after five consecutive draws. Must be first time ever a team on a five match winless streak actually moves up to league top.
    • Well ya, which is why the Egyptian and Iranian teams can shut up and dribble :P
    • The problem is, the World Cup is not a local event. Overall it's another storm in a teacup. LGBT rights in Muslim countries won't change a damn inch becuse of one soccer match in Seattle
    • After looking at the entry list of athletes in the official website, I've changed some of my predictions in the Olympic events with these changes:   Total Tally: Thailand 87, Singapore 51, Vietnam 48, Indonesia 33, Philippines 24, Malaysia 22, Cambodia 1     Badminton (5): Malaysia 2, Thailand 1, Singapore 1, Indonesia 1   Men’s Singles: Switched from Thailand to Singapore     Boxing (11): Thailand 8, Philippines 2, Vietnam 1   Men: -54 kg (-55 kg): Thailand, -60 kg: Thailand, -63.5 kg (-65 kg): Thailand, -69 kg (-70 kg): Thailand, -80 kg: Philippines   Women: -50 kg (-51 kg): Thailand, -54 kg: Thailand, -57 kg: Thailand, -60 kg: Vietnam, -66 kg (-65 kg): Thailand, -70 kg: Philippines     Sailing (7): Thailand 4, Singapore 2, Malaysia 1   ICLA 6: Switched from Thailand to Malaysia     Taekwondo (8): Thailand 6, Vietnam 2   -67 kg: Switched from  Vietnam to Thailand     Weightlifting (5): Thailand 2, Philippines 1, Indonesia 1, Malaysia 1   Men: -65 kg: Malaysia, -94 kg (-95 kg): Thailand   Women: -53 kg: Thailand, -69 kg: Philippines, -77 kg: Indonesia   * I saw that they have actually change the weight categories to almost match that of IWF newly introduced categories from several months ago.      Wrestling (12): Vietnam 7, Philippines 3, Indonesia 2   Men's Freestyle: -57 kg: Philippines, -65 kg: Vietnam, -74 kg: Vietnam, -86 kg: Philippines Men's Greco-Roman: -67 kg: Indonesia, -77 kg: Vietnam, -87 kg: Indonesia, -97 kg: Vietnam Women's Freestyle: -50 kg: Vietnam, -53 kg: Vietnam, -57 kg: Vietnam, -62 kg: Philippines
