Top Division World Championships 2017 in Plymouth, Michigan (USA)

Day 3 Schedule (3rd April 2017)

GMT -4

Group A

15:35  Canada vs Russia  (USA National Hockey Arena 1)

19:35  United States vs Finland  (USA National Hockey Arena 1)

Group B

12:00  Germany vs Switzerland  (USA National Hockey Arena 1)

18:00  Sweden vs Czech Republic  (USA National Hockey Arena 2)

Last Day of the Preliminary Round,

In Group A USA is practically in the semifinals, they can miss it only by some unlikely shocking results today, Canada in other hand is in danger, The Canadians must win in regular time against Russia by at least 2 goals margin or by 1 goal but they must score at least 3 goals for example 3:2, 4:3, 5:4 etc... and at same time hope for USA regular Time win against Finland to advance for the semifinals.

Finland will qualify for the Semifinals immediately if they win points against USA and Canada beat Russia. but also if Canada doesn´t win against Russia in regular time by more than 1 goal and maximum by 2:1 or 1:0.

Russia will qualify for the semifinals if they win points against Canada and Finland lose to USA.

In Group B, Only Germany is surprisingly aka the new promoted team assured to qualify for the play-offs and from 1st place, which means they will play the 4th of Group A, doesn´t matter of the todays results.

All other 3 teams will fight for the second play-offs spot and avoid the 3rd and 4th places sending teams to the relegation round.

Sweden will advance directly for the quarterfinals if they win against Czech Republic (doesn´t matter if in regulation time or OT/GWS), but also if the lost to CZE after OT/GWS but Switzerland will not beat Germany in regulation Time.

Switzerland will qualify for the knock-out phase if they beat Germany and Sweden will lose to the Czechs, also a OT/GWS win against Germany might be enough if SWE lose to CZE in regular Time.

Czech Republic will avoid the relegation serie if they beat Sweden in regular time and Switzerland lose to Germany.

    • Lots of viewing options happily.   Easy option if you have it - everything is on Discovery Plus   Free To Air option - They have lots of their own free streaming on FISU.TV.   Go to FISU.TV on your browser Create a username/password Once that is done, you can stream from your PC Or you can download the app on all services - Ipad, Android, Amazon, Roku Enjoy!
    • Draws are now out: https://ausopen.com/draws   As usual, some intriguing first round matchups.   ‪Osaka/Garcia and Gauff/Kenin are the main ones that stand out on the women’s side, while for the men it’s Hurkacz/Griekspoor, Dimitrov/Fognini and Monfils/Mpetshi Perricard, but there’s so many quality matchups that it’s tough to only pick a couple. I’m interested to see who Fonseca draws as a Q, that’ll be a matchup players want to avoid.
    • Big Air WC Klagenfurt | Klagenfurt, Austria   Men Gold-  Taiga Hasegawa (179.75) Silver-  Ian Matteoli (175.25) Bronze-  Oyvind Kirkhuis (172.00)   Women Gold-  Mia Brookes (184.25) Silver-  Mari Fukada (182.25) Bronze-  Momo Suzuki (166.75)   Full Results
    • Parallel Slalom WC Davos | Davos, Switzerland   Men Gold-  Arvid Auner  Silver-  Dario Caviezel Bronze-  Fabian Obmann   Women Gold-  Miki Tsubaki Silver-  Michelle Dekker Bronze-  Flurina Neva Baetschi   Tsubaki on a tear to start the season with 6, yes 6, podiums in her first 7 races (and she was 4th in the non-podium one)    Flurina Neva Baetschi also with her first career WC podium in front of her home crowd! What a time to do it!   Full Results
    • Big Air WC Klagenfurt | Klagenfurt, Austria   Women Gold-  Luca Harrington (182.60) Silver-  Timothe Sivignon (180.40) Bronze-  Matej Svancer (175.40)   Women Gold-  Liu Mengting (170.60) Gold-  Flora Tabanelli (170.20) Bronze-  Muriel Mohr (166.20)   Interesting to see how quickly Mohr and Tabanelli are progressing through to the senior ranks, they’ve now been on a couple of podiums so far this season.    Full Results   Side note: Sorry guys for the lack of updates, this has been a really busy time of my life and I didn’t have time to be updating stuff on Totallympics. Since there’s a lot for me to catch up on, I’ll probably do it all over the next couple of days.
    • I forgot this was going on, as long as I find a place for streaming I’ll definitely be watching
