Well at least Nuis finally won gold  

 

The ice doesn't seem to be that fast as earlier anymore though (or they turned off the wind of course), no 10k WR anymore I guess

Amazing result for Pechstein, it was the right decision to focus on this race and drop the 3k. Next year it will be much more difficult to get a medal, with the russian and dutch girls back in top shape. I am shocked that she was so close to Sablikova, just sad that she wasnt in a race with Sablikova, otherwise it couldve become an even closer race.

 

Ihle today very unlucky, yesterday he missed the gold by less than 0.1 and today he missed the bronze by only 0.11 ...

Nevertheless he should be very pleased to see that he is currently the third best athlete in mens 500 m.
