Yeah, it has do with how FIS Points work. Bendika was seeded much lower than she should be, since she normally competes in Biathlon. Because a “weaker” skier won the race, the points were factored higher than if a lower seeded skier had won. Becuase Bendika skied so fast, and was ranked so low, the FIS Points were factored in a difficult manner for slower athletes.

 

Hopefully that makes sense, maybe someone like @heywoodu could explain it more eloquently than me.

I managed to watch RAI's coverage of both races.

 

Jonathan Soto  actually has enough knowledge of how to ski on snow. Hopefully, he'll earn some worthy results that help him to be under 300 points by January 22 next year.

 

BTW, Italian comentator stated that Greenland was a Norwegian territory a couple of times . The man needs a remedial geopolitics course

To be fair, she's good friends with the Argentinian and has simply had much more contact with her during the years  

 

Much better result than yesterday, this time she still clearly had some power left in the end, unlike the total blow-up of yesterday. Jaque Mourao is simply stronger at the moment, especially her race yesterday was very impressive.
