Great silver for Yanislav Gerchev  :yes Anyone saw the final with the russian, because the score says 000-000 and how they chose the winner (don't know judo rules :d ) But Ivelina Ilieva lost the bronze medal match to a Kosovar girl. Kosovo a powerhouse in judo.

Russian guy won with shido after regular time (golden score). Shido is penalty for example for prolonged period of non-aggression.

Medals for Matić and Družeta. What a great day for our judo! :woot:

I'm especially shocked by Dominik Družeta in men's -81kg. Did not see that one coming.

    • What are the odds WTA/ITF has Kostyuk vs Potapova AO R1 just to see if the hand shake happens?
    • Malinin  opted for the 4-Axel in his Short Program, but faltered, landing him in 3rd thus far (and only 0.05 away from 4th!).  Surely he has the tools to rise back up in the Free Program.  (Also, perhaps this will serve to show him that he is in fact beatable.)
    • I think they incorrectly translated Ukrainian word "nahorody" - it is not a full synonym of "medal". Its cocrrect translation is "award". Meanwhile russian tennis playes switched for Potapova ->  Rakhimova ->

I mean, it's not like the Ukrainian federation, or any single federation for that matter, has the power to strip her of her world and European championships medals I hope (not for her sake, but because that would be a super weird precedent)
