Why are these events so confusing? :d

Like, there's three events and judging by the names alone, women are allowed to play in all three of them? Seems like it should be the way luge did it: the doubles was an open event until very recently. Then the women's doubles were added and, logically, the open event became the men's event.\

Seems like there is only a few random matches available to watch by the way :(

Makes me wonder how that works for them, financially. Especially something that, internationally, is a rather obscure sport would surely benefit more from their biggest events being widely available to a global audience, instead of hidden behind a pay wall?

World Rowing did a much better job for example, their more obscure event, like last weekend's coastal rowing world champs, was available in it's entirety and for free on their YouTube channel, which is an excellent way to try and gain a bit of new audience..

Monfalcone, a town in northern Italy has banned Cricket, a decision made by its mayor, who views the sport and the Bangladeshi immigrants who play it as foreign and "incompatible" with local culture

It has imposed fines of up to €100 on those found playing cricket within its limits

that ban is against every principle written in our Constitution and there's no judge that would allow this idiotic rule to stay in place ;)

    • as many of you might have already read/watched, the 2025 MLB season has just started with 2 games "on the road" in  Tokyo   on Tuesday and Wednesday, the reigning champions, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Chicago Cubs faced each other twice   of course both teams have been chosen for this "entrèe" because they're filled with Japanese stars like Shoei Ohtani, Roki Sasaki, Yoshinobu Yamamoto (Dodgers) and Shota Imanaga & Seiya Suzuki (Cubs)   and the Japanese audience did really appreciate the effort, because the Tokyo Dome was filled up to the last seat (despite the ticket prizes were crazy, from 1,500 up to 20,000 US $ ) and the TV ratings were amazing (25 million viewers in  only on Tuesday, higher than any MLB broadcast in the USA since game #7 of the 2017 World Series between the Dodgers and the Houston Cheaters, ops, I mean, Astros , all this, given that Japan has about 1/3 of the US population)   the official Opening Day, however, is set for next Thursday, March 27th, when 28 of the 30 teams will be on stage (Colorado Rockies and Tampa Bay Rays are the only exception, they will start their campaign on the following day)   p.s oh, just for the books, the Dodgers won both matches in Tokyo

I can also see her being in favour of more athlete quotas for LA which is always a good sign, and maybe we'll finally get 50m events fully at an Olympics which is something I assume she'll be looking at doing.
