Men's Ice Hockey IIHF Under 20 World Championship 2021

Recommended Posts

I knew it

Nothing unusual, great match and waste of energy against the top favorite and then losing to 1 line team :p Anyway huge respect to Stutzle, Peterka and Eliaš line, especially Timmy, what a fantastic player.

However, thanks god at least for that point, now hopefully Canada will do the job against :SUI

and one small note for the referees, tonight, they were an absolute tragedy. our goal from clear offside lol was one thing, but the calls, especially the one in the overtime was ridiculous. but well, it is how it is. let´s turn the page. now go Canada tonight ! Qualify us ! :d

Sweden - Austria. Shots on Goal : 65-6

Austria literally with a shot each 10 minutes.

but their goalie ! oh dear, that is such star. The guy made 119 saves in 2 matches

his name: Sebastian Wraneschitz

On the negative side: Austria tied the negative record of the World Juniors Championships held by Belarus (in 2001 against Russia), and Slovakia (in 2017 against Canada) for fewest Shot on Goals in a World Junior Championships game at 6 :p

I just don't understand this Czech team...

it looks that if everything goes according to plan, they committ and play their best hockey, meanwhile if the game takes a different path, they give up playing and let the opponents blowing them out badly...

they did it against the Swedes and yesterday they did it again againt the US boys...

by the way, if Russia don't get at least 1 point against Sweden, they can still be 3rd in the group and avoid the mighty Canadians in the quarterfinals...

on the other hand, if Russia lose to Sweden in regulation, we're going to have the mostly anticipated "final" CAN vs RUS already in the quarterfinal round...:yikes:

that would be a huge risk also for the hyper-favourite host Nation...
