I suppose they have some guys that will train with them so they could run a functioning practice with at least 15 guys and that someone who knows the system can come in if someone is injured. 

 

I understand Americans not wanting to cut players because all these players in Nba have a big ego but France, come on..

Yep... multiple players refused or could not to join national team this year: Domantas Sabonis, Marius Grigonis, Rokas Giedraitis, Lukas Lekavičius, Edgaras Ulanovas, Arnas Butkevičius....
