Klaudia Medlová had a huge fall during the competition :cry::cry::cry: she is injured, and will certainly be out at least 5 weeks so she will for sure miss next 2 world cup stages in Mamooth Mountains and Quebec, and also her participation at world championships are greatly endangered :( this is terrible news, now during the olympic qualification period :( she started so well the season...

Get well soon Klaudia :fingers::hug:

    • Super runner, good guy, sadly never entirely recovered from ripping his leg to shreds in the act of going sub 10, but as you say a key relay man for the better part of a decade, and a European and World Champion, and a reminder that talent doesn't always come in obvious looking boxes -a breakthrough sprint athlete for many of middle eastern and north african heritage.

    • Anže Kopitar (Ice Hockey) (will retire after the NHL playoffs this year)  Jonathan Quick (Ice Hockey)   Two of the biggest pieces of the LA Kings core that won two Stanley Cups during the early 2010's   Along with the two Stanley Cups, Kopitar also won the best defensive forward award two times and a leadership award in 2022.   Quick was the Stanley Cup playoff MVP in 2012 and also won an Olympic silver medal in 2010.
    • Duno. To me the most interesting question is the short term is whether Poilievre survives this or not. It will be tough for him to justify his leadership.
    • Wonder if they'll get a couple more floor crossers to strengthen their majority.
    • In , Mark Carney’s Liberal Party just secured a working majority through a combination of floor crossings and by-elections. Baring something unexpected the Liberals now do not have to face an election until October 2029.   The Liberals currently have 173 seats, and could win a 174th tonight. A majority is 171, but due to one of those seats being the Speaker a working majority is 172 seats.   Edit: the Liberals also won the by-election in Terrebonne (the general election result was vacated by the Supreme Court due to issues in the mail votes, the Liberal candidate who won the by-election had won by a single vote). First majority government in Canada since 2019.
