Bro, today, I expected a better performance from :SVK ... Hope they perform better in 1/4 finals ...... btw what about Kristián Pospíšil? What kinda problems he has? ... his behaviour reminds me :RUS Radulov :d

who know ? maybe too much "premotivovanosť" as many many many many and many times before in our games :d

many youngs learning + that first goal after 30 seconds did not really help the confidence of the youngsters to be fair :p and both teams already qualified , you know sorta no pressure or avoiding injuries performance.

Time for the last two games of the preliminary Round.

Matches 55 and 56 will conclude the long round-robin phase.

In Group A another "friendly" match between "cousins" the Not Russia team will face :BLR . Russia will top the group if they earn at least 1 point from this game, meaning not losing in Regulation Time, otherwise they will go to the Quarterfinals as number 2 seeded from this group behind Switzerland.

Last game of the tournament for :BLR with a goal to not finish last of the group. any point from this match will be enough to pass over GB to the 7thplace of group A.

but the most tense game will be the match of Group B

:GER vs :LAT a match that can rewrite history of this sport.

:CAN is awaiting the result.

If the match will end in Regulation Time by a tie. Both GER and LAT will advance to the quarterfinals and Canada, god forgive, will miss the Play-Offs for the first time ever and finish worse than 8th for the first time ever, any international competition of any category counted. So far the worst :CAN result id the 8th place from 1992 World Championships in former Czechoslovakia.

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)

    • I read the Olympic qualification documents for weightlifting. A country can have the opportunity to send a maximum of 4 athletes in one gender, but the conditions are very strict.
    • world champion Jessica Schilder opened her season up with 19.78 in France.
    • wait! what???   so, there won't be specialized double sculls, but those boats would have to feature 2 single specialists if a Nation wants to enter 2 proper singles M+W??? tell me I misread the expalaination...
    • Yeah, they do get broadcast pretty regularly.  I remember even back in Bode Miller's day they would show the training.
