Anton "the Great" Lundell produced and directed the second :FIN goal at 16:00

4 minutes to go. CAN in troubles but still alive, remember 2 points are enough for them

2-2 after Overtime.

Penalty Shoot-Out to decide the winner in Riga Arena.

CAN now on 10 points just like KAZ, favorable head to head result 4-2 but GER & LAT behind both at 9 points are the threat, tonight they play the last game and a draw may do some real mess

Finland won in shoot-Outs. is at 17 points now and move on top of the group B, but will very likely finish 2nd.

Canada is at 10 points and is now 3rd ahead of Kazakhstan who is already eliminated. CAN must now hope the last game :GER vs :LAT will not end by a draw after the 60 minutes, this "eventual agreement" will qualify both of them and send Canada home.

Last day of the Preliminary Round continue with the afternoon session

and...

it is a DERBY TIME ALERT ! :bones:

In Group B :ITA will face in their last game of the tournament :USA already qualified and assured of the top 2 spots of the group B. However Yuesey are obviously huge favorites to win and advance to the quarterfinals from 1st place, will happen if they win in Regulation Time, any other result will send them to the Play-Offs from 2nd place behind Finland.

Italy will try to avoid to leave the tournament pointless, so far the only team without single point is assured to finish last 16th in the tournament (however no relegation this year). Anyway any point against USA will be a big surprise and upset, but this is a tournament of surprises so who knows ? :d

In Group A :SVK vs :CZE

yeah, a match for nothing one would say, both are already qualified and will play only for who will go to the quarterfinals as 3rd and who as 4th seeded from this group (SVK has still a very slim theoretical chance of 2nd place)

but.. yeah

this is more than a match. this is derby. baby !

Both teams will play this game with many substitutes in their line ups today, top lines guys having very deserved rest, so it may be even more interesting and entertaining to watch.

Both countries love each other as nobody else in the world, but again for 60 minutes the armistice is paused and the war start just now ! :p
