which means that one team between USA / SVK / SUI / GER will make the final (I hope SUI)...

 

p.s. Sweden's 9th place is their worst ever performance at the world champs (tying the disaster of 1937)...

since we have the preliminary group stage + knockout stage in 1992 (including the championships with a slightly different format in 1997 through 1999), they missed not only the quarters, but even the top 4 only in 1996 and 2000 (5th and 7th place in those 2 years)...
